  5. Hey Terryz, you can consider joining PSS, which is the photographic society of Singapore. We organise all sort of courses. The website is under revamp atm but should be up by next week. www.pss1950.org Usually, most people starts with the Digital Basic Photography and then progress from there.

  7. Diam la.... tonight go GO.... ya... last time play wow.... we all shout "C*** B**" when the monster boss wipe us out... LOL
  8. Good guide... just to share a little, since most are shooting digital, i think it's best if your shutter speed is higher than 1/50. The guide for shake-free photo is 1/focal length of your lens. i.e. using 105mm, then 1/100 s will be good. 1/125 s will be safer. Of course, if you have VR or IS function on your lens/camera, on it as it will help. Next, i know some will say you can fix the speed fast enough. The easiest way to do it is to set your ISO higher. Sure, it may be a little grainier but it's usually ok for our purpose of sharing and showcasing our fish/corals. It's always better to be grainier than to be blur.
  9. Hi guys I am just curious if anyone are into photography here since all of us like to snap our fish tanks I am actually in PSS... any members here Regards Leslie

  12. Good luck. Basically what Lemon2 said is true.. and elegance is not easy to keep... even if it appears healthy, was told most will die off within 1 year. The one we got from GO was very nice and healthy and then suddenly disintergrate over 2 days or so... desi suspect some crab may have nib or irritate the coral but we still don't know the exact cause.
  13. yalor... i think nicest now must be GO! That said, i love the sunnies in ML's tank and RB's small display tank is nice and cute!

  24. Thanks all for the advice We are aware of the problems with Powder series but it's really one of our favourite fishes and since we managed to find the 2 nice specimen so decided to give it a try. 1st day, initially PBT in the main tank swimming peacefully with the larger BT and YT... then late evening and at night, the YT starts getting aggressive and keep chasing and attacking the PBT... Today seems ok, can see some marks on the PBT but so far YT seems to accept the PBT and stop attacking now. So keeping fingers crossed. PBrT still in QT, show some signs of small white spots but today seems ok.. only prob now is still not feeding. hopefully it will start eating soon.
