Yeah, Terry I think Kiko's idea is quite good.. but my point is why bother to restrict them from selling? Does it mean if someone sell and then next day they quit SRC we do not welcome them? Also, even if they are new, doesn't mean the products they sell is no good. We are not talking abt LFS or Mass sales, Bulk buy etc afterall. So it's really a willing seller, willing buyer situation.

I think it's difficult to prevent... For me, I think the mods and the rest of us cannot be NANNY to everyone. Most of us buy/sell things based on Price, Reputation as well as personal experience. Like for instance, most of us will not buy expensive stuffs without inspecting it. EVen if we have all the pre-caution in place, you may still buy "lemons" or you may be plain unlucky. A lot of these sellers, they are probably those who doesn't post but may be surfing SRC for years. When it's time to decom, i don't see why they should be penalised just because of their inactivity. Just let them sell, end of the day, the price, condition of the equipment will determine if it's good deal.

Yellow wrasses quite common, can try Ah Beng also. Survive rate usually not too bad for yellow wrasses... just watch out for healthy specimen.

MY, GA and PBT both liao... GA prob from not eating.. PBT not sure as suddenly got ich and white patchy spots on body, so maybe is parasites.. It was eating greedily and swimming and very active then suddenly die.

For Pico, you may not need iceprobe (too costly also). try a small cooling fan and top up evaporation more often may be better.

yes, just get a simple shelf/cupboard and i would suggest go for IQ5. IQ3 is too small. IQ5 is less than S$100 and if you want, change the light to something better, maybe a small LED light. Then add a small clip on fan to bring temp down. fish stock should be minimal, 3-4 small fishes max, some corals and maybe a shrimp, starfish etc. Top up with distilled water and do water change with sea salt once a week.

yup, dont get turbo snails (too big and knocks frags down or mow them over!), get nascissus snail (anyone see it recently?). Also boxer shrimp is not that good choice... if want, maybe a cleaner shrimp is better... at least helps to clean the fish and looks pretty nice

royal gramma and 6 line also aggressive.. yellow wrasse and splendid leopard wrasse will be better choice. Fairy wrasses are famous for their high jump capabilities and damselfishes/dottyback are mostly fairly aggressive.

BSI is very good.. can get from Iwarna, madpetz.. I got mine from madpetz which came with the fragging tools. Just apply, dipped in water and rubbed it a little against the rock and it holds in seconds.. and last a long time, no need much at all.
