  1. whats the two type of zoas (pink with purple skirting and the Pink+Purple with green skirting) btw? It's really nice..
  2. i think becos lack of flow... looks like there's no flow on that side.
  3. Love the scaping and how you separate the anemones.. hope they stay there.
  4. I think PS will not work for his case since the aiptasias are too big... Also, I read that for PS to work, you probably need like 10 of them as some will not even touch the aiptasia.
  5. think is bell's flasher.. filamented i think the top fin don't have so much? Not very sure though
  6. wah, i think ur situation is quite bad leh... technically, aiptasia cannot "catch" fishes unless it's weak/unhealthy or very slow moving... Hope your butterfly will do the job. I know ours did well.. but also nips at some LPS/Zoas... give and take..
  7. Never see before but heard there's a possibility as Aitapsia is essentially mini-anemones. If your aitapsia very big in size? You may want to try copperband or maldivan butterfly to see if it helps. Also, can use joe juice.
  8. lol, nothing lah... i dont take much aquarium pics..my cameras are mainly for my travel and photography use.. not pro thats why no FF DSLR
  9. tunicate... problem with m4/3 is the sensor is 1/2 of the full frame sensor. Also, the AF is very slow, much slower than DSLR. So it's best for portraits/landscape and travel (due to the small size and zoom). FYI, i owned a Nikon D90, olympus EP1, LX3 and a few other compacts. Most of the FTS i took is with LX3. for corals, i use my waterproof olympus u600 i think..
  10. Good luck with the ventralis and the new fish, the dejongi... How;s the golden hawkfish.... i love the face... so people owe him money
  11. Samchenz.. mind pm me where u get the tube valve? been wanting to get one for dripping for a while.
  12. jetski, was going to suggest to u then saw u post this... have you consider custom-made a acrylic holder for this? I saw someone on RC did it... basically is like 3 separate ATO then link to the dosing pump.
  13. Just want to share what we did when we move. Basically we got Reborn (who does our tank setup) to come and drain off the tank, packed the fishes/corals and move to our new place where we set up a holding tub for i think 2 weeks. The livesand are packed in plastic bags. Then we had SgBros to move the tank (4ft setup), carpentar (n30) to touch up on the carpentry work. Once everything in working order, pour in all the sand/live rocks, put in the corals (mainly LPS) and start cycling for 2 weeks. After which, livestocks are added in. Then slowly stock up again. We were quite lucky, i think only 1 casulty (big yellow wrasse) and 2 pests/unwanted livestock (1 huge pistol shrimp and a huge engineer goby (almost 1 ft?). Good luck with your moving!
  14. Try see if he eats nori as well...
  15. haha.. ya, thats why we kept mainly small fishes lor... can't keep too many big fishes... EVen the small fishes, some grew very big already like our giant algae blenny.
  16. p&s can set higher iso but very grainy so picture quality not that good. Oh, one more thing, u may wish to off your wavemaker/pumps while taking corals... to reduce movement.
  17. Agreed with digiman... also, if possible, for the barletts, choose 1 male 2 females.. otherwise they likely to fight.
  18. Very nice collection of anemones!
  19. Love the majestic... your blue tang looks so tiny compared to the other fishes!
  20. Oh is it? Well, can't rem cos i read his thread on RC a while back
  21. hmmm, i think for corals, small p&s with macro function and waterproof is the best. Just submerge the camera and fire away. For fishes, you probably need DSLR. The reason is the fishes moves around fast and you need high speed to capture it. So DSLR will perform better as you can set higher ISO and still get very good picture quality. For FTS, i think any camera will do, even iphones:P
