if you were to see a rare specimen of something that you like, you'll obviously fork out any amount of money for it. simple economics. demand supply curve. supply is low, but demand is high for such exotic looking pieces, therefore there is justification to jack up the prices if need be. also, I'm pretty sure the effort taken by the folks who catch the fish, especially those of rare colourations/sizings/patterns, it is entirely justifiable. if you were to work your butt off for a massive project, only to be paid with peanuts after that, wouldn't you feel like becoming an arsonist for a whee bit and burn the bugger down?

depends. the one at my office is never turned off, and it is in an air conditioned environment as well. also, not too sure about the liquid cooling thing. I heard Apple has improved the fan systems, but that has resulted in it being a little bit more noisy than usual.

you cannot compare a 1.8 P4 against a 1.8 Mac. though the figures are similar/slower, they work/perform differently. do a bit of rendering on massive files and you'll find out how much *or little rather* effort it takes. to date, I kinda miss my PowerMac G5. look at the comparisson chart on this website http://www.apple.com.sg/powermac/ if there is one downside about Macs is that they do heat up quite fast, mainly due to the design of its casing and cooling system. quite a well known thing, and well documented in all Mac User Forums. not too sure about the Powerbooks and iBooks, but I know my PowerMac did heat up quite fast. I heard the new G5 also has some problems with the combo drive, and that CDs/DVDs supposedly warped inside the combo drive.

urh. people, please do not ask me if I can lower my Teco chiller anymore. it's the lowest I can go. a quick search around the forum will show you that a 2nd hand Teco will go from anywhere above $900. mine's going for $850 with an Eheim pump and Eheim lock valves. same goes for my 2 month old Ca Reactor. that's the lowest I can go. now before you start giving me philosophical quips about how second hand products have 50% deviation and certain other stuff, please be reminded that I am the seller and I reserve last say over the price. I will not hesitate to reply to you, ableit in an angry tone if you were to ask for bargains as I've already stated that it is my best price. thank you very much for your kind understanding. just getting a bit irked by such messages.
