parking in town during CBD hours
terryansimon replied to terryansimon's topic in General Reefkeeping_
ooh. any ideas on cost? -
the words cheap parking and CBD just doesn't go together. it's a cliche actually. but the thing is I'll be there during the lunching hours tomorrow after my visit to IDP *to press their necks on something* anywhere to park in town whilst I have lunchie with my girlfriend? or must I be held at knifepoint to ridiculously high parking charges? any area around the Orchard Road stretch *Liat Towers/Borders to Plaza Singapura* will be nice.

eh. speak of the devil. I got the notification yesterday. time to make payment.

I think one of the older Singapore $5 note could be manipulated such that it has a cigarette on it. does that mean our island will become one big walking cigarette stick, probably non-menthol?

I will report his butt to the police and let the cops get medieval on him. trust me. in times like these, being kind = getting bitten again.

wah you talk like as if things in Australia is very cheap like that. I heard keeping fish is so frigging expensive down there. don't know how true lah. I'll probably end up keeping a kitten. and don't worry you are first on my list if I need to sell anything off. -

rule of thumb... don't end up in Armour. Once Armour, Always Armour. storeman, clerk, whatever. as long as you are not L3 status, must go outfield. *mutters* -
this ERS thing valid until when ah? how come I never got the letter, even though I turned 21 in March this year? *mutters*

the only difference I can think of is a much thinner wallet or a lower bank balance.

if you are a fuss pot, it can make the difference between appreciating your corals and tearing your hair out over wrong colour rendition. the same thing can be said for different cameras. both do the same jobs, capturing of images. but the colour rendition that comes along with both cameras are completely different. why do you think we have technology like the Spyder colour correcter for monitors. has happened to me once. some a-hole father called me to threaten me when his kid's car collided into my car. what M1 adviced was to record down the times and date that the calls were made. do that for five times. and then submit it as evidence to the police station. don't ask me why it is five and not some other magic number. but yah. should be applicable to all telcos.
-
but with that comes almost picture perfect colour rendition. it doesn't dull out the green or blue colour that is present in the corals or fishes, due to the natural tint of normal glass itself.

a hero in my life also passed away. very similar things. as in, date of death. 11th Oct. that's all lah. sigh. think I'll go sleep now.

microbubbles are small and irritating bubbles. like when you blow air into water through a straw, you get bubbles. except the bubbles are much finer, and have the ability to wreck a sandstorm in your tank......I don't know if there are any other consequences.

one must be pragmatic. lighting intensity is of no use if your objective is to illuminate a FOWLR. the waste in electric bills and setup expenses can be divertted into some other funds, like electrical bill fund, or wife-get-angry-spend-money-on-her fund. unless you are keeping some corals or something along those lines. which is why there is no such thing as a clear cut winner for both situations. you must weigh up the prospects and individually weigh each point out. depending on scenario/situation, a MH setup may beat the pants down on T5s, or eat T5s's dust.

hammanbmw... rewarding themselves with something physical may not necessarily mean spiritual and/or emotional contentment. emtpiness is one void that cannot be filled with physical rewards, unless temporary. Tanzy... I'll understand if the situation is in Germany, with its huge authobahns and crazy speed limits. but Singapore, small roads, kan chiong spider type drivers, what will that power bring you to? will that five seconds headstart bring you to Bishan or Toa Payoh any faster than I will reach there? *points were made and raised by Mr Brown...just quoting him. * like I said. no malice intended. not a case of sour grapes. just like to hear people's point of view. (=

T5 over MH you mean. for everything, there is always the good and the bad side of it. T5s don't win by a mile, unless you fall within strict criteria... like no chiller/shallow tank/FOWLR setup.

you WHAT?! you ran your liverock over with tapwater? by doing that, you don't only kill the cyanobacteria, you kill all the beneficial bacteria! please say you only did it to one liverock. and it was the smallest, least dense of them all. why do you think all the advice given was to reduce photoperiod/feeding or change water etc, instead of scrubbing with freshwater. after seeing all the links/pictures, makes me want to wear MOP4 gear just to do tank maintenance.
-
it is inside the pump itself. you have to remove the filter intake. quite easy one. don't need screw one......just basic lock and twist action.

are Feather Stars part of a Harlequinn Shrimp's diet? I want to keep one, but I don't want it to be murdered. any body spotted any Starfish for Harlequinn consumption? makan time for them. (= -
hi. firstly, I suggest you change the topic to a slightly more helpful topic. click on the Report button and ask any of our ever friendly moderators to help you change the topic to a topic that will be helpful. (= secondly, the sand in my fish tank gets dirty because of settling of debris. but it is being cleaned out by my fishes who are so damn greedy, and/or by my sea cucumber. (=
