  1. Any updates at CF? Are neon goby still available at LCK110? Thanks JC
  2. This worm sure look a mean predator. If it can attack a bristlworm alive, can't imagine what it can do to a sleeping fish.
  3. Just wondering. Since most of your casualty are corals, could there be copper contamination? Use any medication recently? JUz my 2cts JC
  4. Doesn't ur harlequin kill the blue star after a day or two? I tried mine with blue star b4 and it kill it in a few days. I think the greyish starfish is the sand sifting sea star. Do note that choc star is not reef safe and since yous is separated then its should be fine.
  5. From what I have read so far, you might need a tank that is of low current and need to feed different type of plankon to Baby Brine shrimp. Hope someone who have tried can advise you on these. Some article of the same interest, reefs.org breeders Registry 1 breeders registry 2 You harlequin eat so much? Man.... maybe you should start controlling their diet.
  6. Hi Bro, Imo, just let them be live fish food. The hasle of breeding them plus the chance of survival is definitely daunting, e.g separating them into a specific tank, feeding them rotifers, etc. JC

  11. Interesting. How rapid is the surge since you have a few 90degree elbow joints.
  12. Wow. Interesting surge device you have. Can explain how it works? Ur elegance sure take center stage. Beautiful. JC
  13. No..... very sad now. Suspect I still have some stupid crabs in my LRs. Really like my neon.
  14. Hi All Tang Expert, Few weeks back I've got a kole tang from a LFS and have ensure that it is already feeding on pellet there b4 buying. However, after I introduce it to my tank, kole has stopped taking pellets and only peck on my LRs. At 1st I thought kole will eventually start feeding on pellet once acclimised but till date (3weeks), kole has not feed on the pellets (part of my homemade recipe). Anyone have idea on how to get kole to start feeding on pellet/nori or even mysis? Thanks in advance. JC
  15. The last time I saw many kole in LCK 110 abt 2 weeks back. Maybe u can call them to check. JC
  16. Many of us have been searching for the royal gramma for months. I myself have been looking 4 it since Sep 2003.
  17. I'm currently still using cannister. The most agressive fish I have now is my brown tang whom neon has been cleaning. Thus I doubt its due to aggression. Pray that nothing bad happens to it. JC
  18. It has been two days since I last saw my neon. It normally will come out to feed when I feed all my fishes.
  19. wow. Your tank must be huge to be able to accomodate these big tang! Will luv to look at it. Btw, I used to see a big black tang in CF too.
  20. No. Dun stop. We need you as the Prof Goby (if I can quote it from Flub) to keep providing us those wonderful pics since many of us can't keep them (probably due to aggression or another).

    DIY Moonlight

I'm definitely not a guru but tot I can share my setup. I'm using a variable power supply of up to 12v supplying 1amp current. I have 7 Ultra Blue leds in parallel. Each LED will have a 430ohms resistor to limit the voltage or is it current? The voltage is then adjusted to 6volts instead of 12volts. What I released is that if I change the voltage to 9volts, the LEDs is brighter but I did not do it because worry that the LEDs might not last long (abit like overdriving). Using ohms law, V = I * R. It does make sense that the voltage increase will result to brighter LEDs. Anyone need an online calculator? Cheers JC
