  8. U mentioned that the skimmer is adjusted? How do u achieve it. I'm also interested in ur design. Will you be able to make one for me if needed, pm me pls? Thanks JC
  9. Imo, probably you want to juz carry on using the 2012 with a stronger pump for now. 2012 will most likely have to work hard. Once you are more comfortable interms of investing on ur tank, you can then re-evaluate your situation and options avail to u before upgrading to a better skimmer. Juz my 2cts JC
  10. AT, wat's they selling? Watched twice already still blur???
  11. I believe ur pump is also not strong enough. 2012 need at least 2500l/hr pump.
  12. Hmm.. After looking through the goby research frontier, it seems that we indeed have the Gobiosoma (Elacatinus) figaro. Both figaro and randalli have the center gold pattern in the forehead but figaro typically have yellow tail while randalli does not.
  13. hahahah. I was still thinking you can take up the challenge.
  14. Do some search on the Net and these are what I found. # most look alike Goby. 1) Elacatinus figaro 2) Gobiosoma randalli 3) Gobiosoma evelynae A informative article that discuss on them. hmm.... still can't figure out the different in them. But for sure, Gobiosoma evelynae have blue and white striped. Mine do not seems to have, maybe still not adult yet? JC
  15. Thanks 4 the ID, Rumor. You're indeed the Goby guru here. Can't wait to see your Elacatinus figaro's "National Geopgraphy" pictures.
  16. Is sharknose = golden neon goby? Look similar to me. Anyone can advise on how to spot the difference?
  17. Damn, I still tot I can catch a glimse of it 2m.
  18. Personal opinion will be if its Juvenile tang, you can keep 4 or 5 happy as long as there's enough hiding area provided compatibilty is taken care of as DB mentioned. However, be prepare to move them once they outgrow your tank unless u intend to upgrade ur tank too. JC
  19. From my understanding, christmas tree feeding is the most difficult part thus its recommended for matured tank and experience reefers. "The Christmas Tree Worms, Spirobranchus are an intermediate sized worm, and in the lab they appear to feed primarily on detrital floc, phytoplankton and ciliates. However, feeding preferences and strategies likely vary among species, and there are very few studies examining the natural diet of these worms. In the absence of such studies, we have only distributional studies suggesting that certain particle sizes or abundances are appropriate for certain species of Christmas Tree Worms. For example, some species, such as S. tetracerosain thrive only in highly turbid water with high organic particle counts of intermediate size; whereas others, such as S. giganteus, are never found in such habitats and only thrive in areas characterized by clear water with relatively few tiny organic particles (Frank and Ten 1992)." Just to share some info. Cheers JC
  20. I saw some in T95 last weekend. However will like to point out theat its not easy to keep. Anyone interested should read this first. Cheers JC
