Hi Bro, I'm planning to have SCDW on my return also. Using eheim 1262 with head loss of about 3.8. I should be able to get at least ard 700 - 800gph flow rate to the SCWD. Since SCWD will cost a drop of 20% flow rate, my actual return flow rate should be ard 560 - 640gph.

Apparently, PO4 remover will cause a drop in pH and Alk too. I started a another thread to ask for comments on this issue cause I do experience the drop in Alk after using PO4 remover. Before that I do not have to use any buffer at all. Cheers JC

Hi All, In the Advanced Aquarist Article, it mentions that using PO4 remover media do contribute to the drop in pH and Alk. I myself seems to be adding quite a fair bit of buffer to keep my alk at around 10. Anyone else experience this also. What else can I do beside adding buffer cause I can forsee myself using PO4 remover for long term. Advise? JC
