I don't think there's another way to catch this little devil. They're too smart. I took out all my liverock(I mean ALL ) juz to catch nine of my damsels. It's a backbreaking job but totally worth it. The best part is that i get to rescape my Liverock again.

are they really allowed to keep as pets?

the only thing you can do now is pray. Looks like ur tang is in a very bad condition. hopes for the best. If he still swimming and feeding, i suggest u stop all the medicine treatment and let it heal it self. That's how my sailfin tang and koran survive.

Must be a fight from other more aggressive fish in your tank. It helps a lot if you could list down all your Livestock.

It's a cheapo china submersible pump. No brand listed anywhere at the box or at the pump itself. Didn't even bother to ask the shop owner. Bought it at $25 at superstar aquarium at Tampines.

u can use any pump that is 2000L/H. I use some china brand pump for my weipro 2011 and it went great.

Hmm, im not sure if catching a hawkfish is possible. But i do tore up my whole live rock just to get all my damsel out. Why don't u try catching him during feeding time. Or place the fish food inside the net.
