Hi, Not sure what's the correct name for this crab but its been living in my sump for almost two years. It has grown from a tiny fellow to about 2" now. It's orangy red with tiny white dots and very beautiful. It's not a fuzzy eater and helps to clean up the water by clearing any uneaten food left over by the fishes. It will even feed out of your hands like a pet. I haven't seen it being sold anywhere and so assume it must be quite rare. Well, if you like crabs, you should certainly add this to your collection. hi bro, it's very bright (>250W MH). if most of your light loving corals are in the mid section of your tank, you should have no problem using it for your 3ft tank.
