Hello Guys Went to this local LFS. Was really interested to get a fish and enquired about the price before i head down. Firstly, was told all the fishes were the same price and was even mentioned it was offered to me at discounted price. all fishes were placed in different tanks and been looking and was keen on a particular one. Ii enquired about the price again for the piece I interested in and to my amazement, the piece of fish i been looking and interested in cost more than the others which i wasn't too keen on - reason being it's different from rest of the fish. Sensing that I was kinda piss the LFS changed track and said if I really interested, it'll be "special for me" and now same price as the others. Should we support such LFS who is out to earn that extra bucks than earning respect and loyalty from return customers? Was seriously considering getting the fish but ended up getting piss and walk away.

I've no issue with Arees too. In fact, i only call them whenever i need to change large volume of water. Otherwise, like Gouldian mentioned, i bot from Alpheus from Sheng Siong at 5 bucks per carton and with 2% discount if use sheng siong credit card. It's convenient cos the supermarket is just below my block and they deliver up for me. As for bottles, just bring to the recycle bin

Its is Alpheus (Candid Water) or Arees? My experience with them so far no issues. Only hear issues with Alpheus, maybe goudian can advise on it.

Achiller Tang and powder blue tang are not the most easy tangs to keep alive, IMO, both AT and PBT should be one of the first fish inside the tank ask otherwise they get stress and white spots easily. AT need lots of swimming space as well as high water current flow whereas PBT are known to be itch magnet.

bro lemon, do take note that the LFS in HK close late so only open late morning bout 12pm. So gottna check what time ya flight and work out from there. there also a acrylic shop along fish street, does and sell amazing range of fish boxes and traps. did you go to Fa Yueh Street? Just next to fish street. it's a local market with cheap goodies.

Aqua mart should have the pipes you looking for put do call before heading down as stocks can be quite limited. pet mart or C328 carry the pipes you looking for.

is it aqua medic? you need to use those PVC type, harder tubing. push it in and if want to take out, push down the soft portion connected to the connector and pull out the tube. the connector might be lose after a while, so might need replacement which you can get from aqua mart.
