  1. Got a 100% brand new 2ft Dymax T5 to let go at $40. Used 1mth old 2ft 55W PL (white) for sale at $25. No use coz refugium runnin on MH. Interestee, pls pm meeeee.........
  2. Well...hope they live up to wat they will perform. Wan them to makan my bryopsis
  3. So how AT, shall we go grab some crabs
  4. Y worry, with a proper rated chiller (150/250/400) MH also can do for a 2ft tank but do take into consideration on the type of corals u gonna keep...some r light demandin some r not. So better dun go put those tat requires low light one direct under ur MH (be it 150-400W). Else, T5 would be sufficient but better to have at least 4tubes and above. Think danano had 6 tubes. and he is runnin Ice Probe to cool his tank. IMO, a 250W will be a good choice.....even if u were to upgarde in future, i belive the 250W will still be in use rather than the 150W.
  5. U made us the local reefers proud bro, the honour is all urs man...CONGRATS.
  6. Wah...u changes ur likin for fish so fast. Not too long ago u wanna keep shark now lookin at tangs. Luckily ur interest for lionfish still hangin there
  7. My advise to u is to scrape the idea of havin so many tangs in ur tank coz ur tank are way too small for so many of them. Lookin at the amt of dead fishes, would advise u to stock up real slowly. Find info on the fish u wanna keep before buyin...hope tat u dun have anymore dead fishes... patience and have fun doin up ur new tank bro
  8. Its macro algae bro....micro is those we cultivate also known as phytoplankton aka DT. Trim them if they outgrown ur refugium
  9. Same size eh ...anyway once u disturb ur sandbed then tats it...as good as cyclin. Either u do it wat i mentioned or have ur LS taken out into a tub/container. Transfer ur sand, LR and water over to new tank....let it settle dwn and test water parameters. Ok, perform water change and intro ur LS in. If not, it may take couple of days for the mini cycle to complete....and in the meanwhile u have to perform daily water change for ur holdin tub and provide water circulation. Goodluck
  10. Cycle the new tank with watever new stuff u puttin in (eg. LR, new or new and matured sand). After cycling is complete (test water parameter), perform waterchange of 30-40%. Let the tank settle for 2-3days and test water parameters again. If ok, mix 70% old tank water with 30% new tank water in a container and transfer ur LS into the container, in the meanwhile make sure container water is not stagnant> a powerhead will do the trick. If old tank is 50gal, then remove 50gal from new tank first. Transfer the old tank water into the new tank and u can then do the transeferin and rescaping. Once its dn, u might wanna do a test to chk whether u create any mini cycle due to ur rescapin work....everythin ok then ur LS can go into the new tank. If not, let the mini cycle u created complete before puttin in the LS and u have to be hardworkin abit doin partial water change for ur holdin container.
  11. Pix too big, u gonna get ur warning. Btw...tats macro algae not micro.

  16. Apply for Deferment (Overseas Studies) Deferment from full time National Service to pursue an overseas course can be granted provided: a. The course commences before the age of 17 ½ AND b. A bank guarantee of a minimum of S$75,000 or 50% of the combined annual gross income of the parents for the preceding year, whichever is higher, is furnished. However, the bank guarantee may be waived for those NS liables who accompany their parents on overseas employment. Instead, they can be bonded by a Deed (Personal Guarantee) with two sureties. The deferment is only granted for the completion of the course he has commenced before the age of 17 ½ years and no further extension of deferment will be allowed unless he commences another fresh course of studies before 17 ½ years of age. If you are in Singapore, you have to be registered for NS before your application can be considered. Above is extracted from mindef website so the info is accurate to date. Since ever read tat u r driving so tats make u above 18....NS here u go, bro.
  17. Die, ur wrong postin and my misread = DB wasted money on the wrong stuff. Anyway DB, the Bioplankton r good stuff too especially since u got so many LPS.
  18. Hey spidey....u servin only 2yrs NS? or 2.5yrs. If the latter, then ur ORD will be like in Nov/Dec. Else it will be july-june/july. Check with CMPB for more confirmation details than askin here. U will ended up with lots of info tat may nt be accurate.
  19. Theortically, with all the necessary equipment it shd be ok but will involve ALOT of Committment and money being spend on nutrients removal media, nitrate removal.......etc. And provided if u can afford to change water like twice a week. Wat u mentioned may work. Think wat AT tryin to say is, colonies tat belongs to reefers tank for a period of time and u gettin those frags will give them a better survival rate as compared to those that come straight from LFS. The reason behind will be those sps has been adapted to the aquarium environment. Newly harvested wild colonies will had lesser chances of survival in new tank due to unstable water parameters. Frags be it cultured or harvested from wild will ultimately grow into a colony but tat have to take time .
  20. Posted in the wrong area bro, get the mods or AT to help move the thread into the proper section before u got "Tick Tock"
