First determine whether ur lightin is capable of sustainin the clam. Nxt, do u hav LS tat r nt compaitable with clams? If yes, then no advisable. Else no harm gettin one to try. Small size (2inch and below) would require phyto feedin. If u dose phyto frequently for ur reef tank then its ok else u may nd to dose like once-twice a wk. Frm past experiences...once clam stop respondin to movements, mantle flodin in...they r 99% gone. I would remove them immediately before they die and contribute ammonia to my tank. Or i would observe them for 1-2 more days. No sign of improvements....out they go.

from wat i c..... HO T5 tubes driven by HO T5 eballast will resulted in 100% performance of the HO T5 tubes. HO T5 tubes driven by NO eballast will resulted in a drop in performance (mayb 70%) of the HO T5 tubes. NO T5 tubes driven by HO eballast will resulted in overdrivin the NO T5 causin a decrease in livespan of tubes. And at the same time doesn't mean tat the NO T5 can match the performance of a HO T5.

Introduce any species of fishes at ur own risk..be it tangs mix angels, tangs mix tangs, angels mix angels......bla bla bla. Info on compatability of fishes in websites such as liveaquaria are juz a guide. There r no 100% assurances tat they will get along or they wun. Like my AT, (listed as peaceful towards other species) whack not only my MI but also my angels. Talk abt different species living in harmony.

Raise the height betw ur MH and ur tank. Slowly lower the MH every wk over a period of 4wks. The bleached tip is ok as long they r no subject to further stress leadin to RTN. It will take some time for the color to come back again.

I hav nvr measured the dkh of my effluent. Only the ph is measured. I believed my effluent dkh would be ard ur range too with i m runnin my CR. The high of 30++ dkh in the effluent will get diluted with the main tank water to give u the acceptable range of dkh for main tank.

U r nt readin bro..... From ur readin, ur CR r not completely tune yet to hold ur carbonate hardness constant. A properly tune CR, ur dkh readin shd be the same or very minimal difference as of the last test. And yes....ur calcium will not increase w/o usin addictives. If u plannin to use CR to raise ur calcium level to 450 and above. Be prepared to have ur dkh shootin way high. The end, u may get Ca at 450 but dkh at 20!

hee....bro, even if u were to drop ur price to 100. Chances of sellin is still too low. pple r goin for either MH or T5. PL r usually use for refugium and usually only the 2ft PL is needed. Very few pple r runnin 3ft refugium. Morever, 2ft T5 is cheap too so PL really hav no place to stand.

I suppose the 150W BLV bulb u sellin is DE type. U sure its UV coated? ......coz only the SE bulb glass is UV shield. Major brands DE like BLV etc requires a UV glass (usually provided by the pendant) to shield off UV. Unless specified by the manufacturer, i dun remember BLV DE bulb is UV shield.

So use addictive to up ur calcium if u wan or they will juz hoverin ard the 300++ region. catch the ball???? if still can't find the ball, buzz me lah

Also clearin my 10L CO2 tank with manual regulator. Started off with 900 psi now left with 800. Tank can be refilled at N.Aquarium (1 to 1 exchange on the spot so no need to wait). Sellin for 100. Interested, pls pm me.

Bought and used it last year.....doesn't work for me. Nuthin beats proper quarantine n introduction.
