  1. Agreed that they can be a PITA when they overran your tank. I am nuking them whenever I see them. I'm just saying that I don't want to lose sleep over it trying to eradicate this pest. So far its been good for me. Manage to kill quite a number. There's few small ones just coming up. Letting it grow a bit bigger then I'll nuke them again. Cheers
  2. Has anyone seen the Ecoxotic Stunner LED here locally? I think the products not too bad. Stunner
  3. Thanks for the tip. I didn't get to sun dried them afterall. It's been raining past few weeks so not much of the sun. I am begining to accept it in my tank as I understand now that they're part of the ecosystem. As long as I can keep their numbers down, I'm happy enough.
  4. How long does it take for the algae to spread around to the dead rocks?
  5. If your main breaker is tripping, you may have an Earth leakage problem. I suspect the aircon to be the culprit. Happen to me at my old house. Kept tripping in the middle of the night. I doubt its the lights. They don't use that much current. Try not using the aircon for the time being and see if it trips again.
  6. Thanks for the review. Will try this soon.
  7. Maybe sun drying them is a good idea. I'm gonna try it this weekend. See how it goes. Thanks all.
  8. Thnks. I think Copperband and Berghia are out. I'm trying to go low on LS so there's a limitation there. I don't mind Peppermint shrimp. Easily available here? But considering that the tank is new and empty except for LR and sand, was just wondering if cleaning the LR thoroughly with FW would eliminate the aiptasia.
  9. Hi, My tank is a less than a week old 28g Nanocube. The LR and Livesand, I got from a fellow hobbyist. The tank now is cycling and I mixed some LR and dead rocks. I've just notice some aiptasia on all LR but none on the dead rocks. What do you think I should do now? Should I remove them and dip in FW and scrub a bit or just let it grow and squirt some Joe Juice later on? And just FYI, I didn't do a FW dip on the LR when I started the tank.
  10. I think Nanos going to be very tough for me too. But no choice. Space limitation. I failed miserably few years ago. Now trying again. Hope this time works.
  11. I'm thinking of restarting a nano tank. Probably a FOWLR first and was thinking of reusing my 1foot cube. Would a tunze nano reefpack be sufficient for filtering and skimming? I have a eheim 2211 cannister. Would it be beneficial if I use this as well or it will be an issue with detritus. And where in the East area I can get my hands on the Tunze as well as some live sand and rocks.? And is there a 1.5ft cube readily available off the rack? Thanks!!
