Hehe... you really love the RSM. Why don't you just buy it and try and experience it yourself and hopefully understand why so many are against it.
BTW I'm using a JBJ 28g HQI. Bought it used for super duper price including chiller. Same like you, I thought a All In One tank like RSM or JBJ would be enough for me. I was very wrong. They look neat and nice but it's got lots of limitations. The heat from the MH bulb heats up the water very fast. Chiller kicking in too often. Upgraded to LED lights.
The stock skimmer skimmed too little. I upgraded to MCE300.
Not enough flow because 1 of the pumps was redirected to the chiller and too much headloss. So bought myself a vortech mp10.
Final spending bill after plus plus plus... I could have gotten a 2ft cube with cabinet and sump.
I find that using superglue gel to stick a frag rock to the main rock cannot make it. I've got few of them came loose after a while.
I still need to use epoxy but just have to make sure i don't work it under water too much.
O oh.... I caught one on the wall last night and one this morning. Apart from CoralRX dip, what else should I do? How often would I need to dip them to ensure all is gone?
No problem with the adoption. I'm giving it back to Ahbeng. The thing is this shrimp is peaceful according to liveaquaria. But it turned out to be the opposite for me.
Ok now I know what happen to my firefish, spotted blenny, 6 line and bangla blenny. All died with damages found on body, tails or fins.
Time to give this fella up for adoption.
Wah 10-15 mins is good. What's your chiller btw? My chiller is well ventilated. 1000l/h flowrate. Minus some headloss maybe 700- 800l/h. Still within spec. But I guess you ambient temp is low. That's why it is faster for you.
My ambient depends on the weather. Could be 31,32 during the day or slightly lower at night.
Yes bradder. Got improvement after swopping my MH to LEDs. Water stays cooler longer and slightly shorter time to chill down.
Hopefully electric bill will be less.
I have a cleaner and a banded in my nano tank. So far no issues. They both have different corners of the tank they to hang around. But banded a bit more aggressive.
Does your cleaner attack your pom pom?
