Culturing aquascaping rocks do not need a kelong to do so. Access to a beach is good enough but we do have neighbouring country that does this. Imagine the cost of a local aquaculturing rock if it was feasible to have it here in sg. Maybe do it quietly somewhere ?

Best is to modify your chiller to use an external temperature probe so that the chiller will not be reliant on the pump flow rate.

They only consume mysis from my experience. Currently have 2 in my 4ft tank for more than 2 years. The ones I have do not tolerate other pipefish species and I am happy to have just this particular nano species. They do swim to avoid stinging corals like anemone and usually are found amongst the rocks and overhang, minding it's own business.

For everything else, safety is of the utmost importance.

Try to match your return pump flow rate to that of your skimmer pump intake flow rate. A too powerful return pump will only push water to bypass the skimmer and hence provide more nutrient to the main tank for algae to consume. For your tank size, skimmer option from Deltec is to use any model above APF851. For Reef Octopus, get the model above XP-2000. Do your research on this 2 skimmer eg cost of pump replacement if it decide to konk out, ease of maintenance and what not. Take your time.

5mm definitely cannot support. When you fill it with saltwater, you will see that the glass pane will bow. Just a matter of time for either the silicone will give way or the glass pane will develop a crack. The final situation in this scenario is a wet floor. Best thing to do now is to do more research and saved up while doing so. This is not a race and there are no finishing point. Myself had saved up for 2 years before getting into this hobby.

My experience is juvenile can co-habit with others but when they grow to adult size, you've got a timebomb.

You need to have something in the canister filter to trap the fine particle. Maybe use multiple layer of filter wool might just do the trick.

Use aquarium glass scraper if you do not have the funds for a real magnetic cleaner.
