  5. From my understanding, zeolite for freshwater can remove nitrate in the freshwater condition, recharge by putting the used zeolite in brine solution (very salty solution-thinking equivalent or more salty to seawater). As for saltwater, there is a zeovit method which is using a certain high grade kind of zeolite (there are a few hundreds different kind of zeolite in the world). I would never try to use normal zeolite in an establish reef tank as you wont know what will happen. Hope it helps

  15. I had in my wildest dream to create a tank where the corals will be placed on a rotating plate inside a tank- just like those on round dining tables - a slow motion motor will be used to drive the plate clockwise and anti-clockwise - that way, we don't use pumps to do water movement- the movement of the plate with the corals will be able to get the most water movement around them, everywhere. Of course there will be challenges, where to place the motor, jamming of the plate, stopping the motor when viewing........ Just something in my mind but may materialise in future......
  16. Update - 2 pieces of frag reserved by Deepblue and reef2......Cheers...
  17. Overgrown of this reddish purple sps in my tank, willing to do a 1-to-1 frag exchange with other sps frags or monti (must not be brown). Also open to those who wish to have this frag in their tank for $15 per piece. Onli fragging about 5-8 pieces - about 1 to 2 inch for the exchange or sale. PM me if you are willing to trade or you wish to purchase. - Jimng Picure attached:
  18. It will block the lights reaching the sps, don't know if it will feed on the polyp. Some nudibranch will eat them(can't remember the name) - it's a very beautiful nudi - totally black with dark blue lines. - Do a search through the forum on flat worms, i believe there are already threads talking on them....
