Definitely, bigger footprint, the better (if can afford the space), but the point on it having to be in the main tank, quite debatable.....

DSB and BB.....both have their pros and cons..... You may want to consider having DSB on a remote sump and having BB or SSB in the main display tank.......easier for reverting to any method if you change your mind anytime....

Think you must plan for contingencies for CR issues in your new tank (especially so since it's gonna be a bigger tank)..... else monies loss and effort on getting those gems are really painful.....

must wait for the small sticks to grow into thick branches first, then can produce more sticks to swap around....
