Another one....

Very good growth and colouration there, reefer_guy and weileong...always love to see sps color up and grow.... Here's some sps growth contribution that i had posted in my tank thread, not as much growth as you guys but still some growth to share.....

Wow, less than a year and it grew from a small rock to a full colony.... ......it's like an ugly duckling turning into a swan.......beautiful..

A handsome fellow.... This tang can grow quite big....

Saw it in person.....a very well done set......

Woo....very spacious and very wide......reminds me of the starboard BB tank in RC......looking great Bro.....

Bro...most of the good lfs are in the florida area.....the rest most likely gets supply fr them....there are a few in DC area but the prices cannot compare to online orders......if you are staying there...u can order online and get them to sent it to the place u stay..... if u are talking abt places of interest....it would be the museum, memorials in DC.....get adventurous and u may want to drive up to New York, Atlantic City,Buffalo, Niagara Falls....

Oh and the reason i changed back to MH is becos 1. Some of my clams died on me (i dont really know if it's the lights and i was very sad)... 2. Some sps just couldnt color up...like the blue branching digi (i think it really needed the par)....the color improved with MH... 3. A reefer put up a good offer for the AquaSunlight.....so i grabbed it...

Gary, glad u like it...not jungle lar....just mini forest patch... Not really tips but maybe we can all learn from each other's experience....... The T5 i used previously was 4x 2ft Aquaz....the ATI lamps should be the best....i had not tried those but i believe price goes with quality also......for sps with T5, what i feel is to keep the lights low and the sps high up...the nearer the better....personally i would prefer to use combinations of 6ks and 20ks, and if possible....i would make it submissible (like NAN lights) so that the part on light breaking into water surface will avoided..(may want to think abt it also for frag tank).. but i know this would add heat to the tank water but what the heck.....just some of my tots there, hope it helps.....

oh ok....still small....and i see it encusting sidewards and not buldging upwards....i cannot see the polyp also...hoping again....

..The eye still sleeping......must give it more food and shine sunlight @ it...hope it awakens........and starts hunting....

Tank progress threads are always so fascinating.......i believe one part all reefers enjoy the most in this hobby is starting up a tank....... More pics and updates......more...more
