Thanks Tropic for the info. I've checked out MadPetz website. The 4" x 14" Filter bag- Polypropylene (PP) is priced at S$7.65 at 3 pieces & above. Anyone knows where I can purchase a couple of 100 micron Polyproylene filter socks with 4" ring but with length of 10" or more? My current one is only 4"x7" size & it overflows daily. I'm also looking for a 4" sock holder mount.

There's not much room in a 1 foot sump which you're planning to have. I don't think putting sand in there is going to help much.

While searching the forum on "tunze overflow", I came across this thread which may interest you. If properly done, it should have an overall positive effect on your livestock, but do take into account of time, effort, $$, & aesthetics factors. It works out differently for every reefer.

Be extra careful with overflow box. If siphon breaks for any reason, you'll get flooding. You mentioned "My available space for sump is at the side which is 30cm x 20cm". The sump needs to be sitting lower than your display tank for the siphon to work. Meaning the piping after the overflow box should be sending water DOWNWARDS to your sump. You'll need to get the measurement right 1st before you start.
