  1. On the contrary, I think every piece is positioned with careful consideration.
  2. Good looking tank bro. It's always exciting to setup a new tank. BTW, any concerns with all the power sockets hanging over the sump?
  3. Hey bro, think I may have stumbled across a solution. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GtR172qShk
  4. Sorry, that's not a good idea because detritus will build up over time clogging the sponge. Tank will eventually flood.
  5. I'm not sure if anyone tried it, but would placing a sponge solve your problem? (pic below) ***Be ready for contingency if you're giving it a try.
  6. If using blade makes your hair stand, an expired credit card works too.
  7. Well if nothing else, you can still use one channel for evaporation top off.
  8. Thanks for the detail. Now I'm getting a much clearer picture of how it's being done.
  9. If your return pump spec is 1200L/hr max, with a typical height of 1.5m from pump to top of display tank, effectively you may be getting about 500L/hr.
  10. Hmmm....from your original post, I had the impression that it is normal practice to flip tank over for hole drilling. Would you say that Vincent was able to drill your tank as it is because he had the right tools(maybe even special tools), or was the other fella trying to pull a fast one on you?
  11. Have you discussed this with the LFS where your purchased this overflow box from? You need to know if it's a product defect or setup issue.
  12. Below is a related thread from RC. http://web1.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7817498 BTW, I also have a yellow tail. You can pair mine your yours if I can catch that lil' bugger.
  13. You can also drill some holes on the side of your water jug in case the filter wool choked up & water starts to overflow.
  14. Bro, Vincent really went to your place with 4-5 person to flip tank up side down?
  15. Found it. Price tag says $15. The other piece in the box is still brand new. You can pick up this piece from me for $7.50 if you want.
  16. Hopefully the price tag is still on the packing. Will check & get back to you.
  17. I got mine from Aquamarin. Comes in 2 pieces per pack.
  18. Below is Bro donkey's diy overflow video clip (part 8). I notice he put a one-way air valve at the 1st U-bend over the brim of the display tank to release any trapped air. The only thing I'm uncertain is if the trapped air is released automatically, or does it have to be manually sucked out. P.S. Ignore the last part when he starts touching the pipes.
  19. Best wishes to your remaining fishes bro. BTW, how many are left?
  20. The 1 pointing upwards, redirect lower to maximize flow around your LR. When you do WC, try to siphon out the red slime as much as possible.
  21. Sorry my mouth dirty. CHOY!CHOY!..double CHOY!
