  5. Wishing all a happy Halloween.
  6. My skunk drifts all over the tank wherever there's food. The danger I foresee if they unknowingly step into Coral Banded's backyard.
  7. Unless the shrimps have lots of real estates, the coral banded may roam and wack the other shrimpies.
  8. Avoid leaning your live rocks against glass. Your fresh water tank glass may not be thick enough to withstand the knocks. Be extra careful when you attempt to rescape.
  9. Hi Hock Meng, Below is what I think: - You should be able to remove the right side shelving. - The center vertical partition is probably designed to support the tank, so I think you should not remove that. - So what you can do is put in 2 sumps connected with a thick short piping, with a hole drilled thru' the center vertical partition. The connecting pipe has to be thick so that water level on both sump stays the same. Just make sure the seals for this piping is good to prevent leaks. - Sump 1 can contain: filter sock, skimmer, FR, bio-reactor,...etc - Sump 2 can contain: refugium, which overflows into return pump compartment. Have fun.
  10. Full siphon should take up about 90% of flow. Remaining 10% flow via pipe with air tube. Backup pipe with upturn elbow should have no water during normal operation.
  11. Hi BC82, You setup is quite similar to BeanAnimals overflow design which profess to be silent. You can probably make some changes using its setup info. http://www.beananimal.com/projects/silent-and-fail-safe-aquarium-overflow-system.aspx All the best
  12. I'd place the tank away from human traffic as much as possible. Look for common path between front door & kitchen, & between front door & bedroom. You don't want hand carry items bumping into the corner of the tank when rushing out, or coming home with bags of shopping.
  13. I vote to keep the display cabinet intact. It looks great! Just put the tank where you originally drew it. Should be the 1st thing one sees after a day of hard work.
  14. Yes, go green. Pls. keep us posted on your progress.
  15. I'll opt for this kind of overflow so that I don't have to worry about what to put inside.
