May i know where to get the drop in coil? My currently drop in coil is vertical type which i think not so efficient, i noticed most people were using the horizontal coil.

Have been reefing for a few years and finally got the courage and a bit more time to upgrade, or maybe i should say migrating 2 4X2X2 (ft) tanks into 1 6X2X2 (ft), 12mm thickness. The current setups i had are 1 fowlr and the other mixed reef with fish. Of course the plus points will be money saved and less water change in the long run. Just commissioned Ah Heng, my trusted tank maker to get it ready by 22nd this month, hopefully he's able to make it, this set up will also be mix reef, i've decided it will be only crystal front panel and be placed against the wall, practically only front vewing is possible due to space constraint. The sump will be 48"X18"X18", with 4 compartments, 1st, incoming, 2nd, skimmer, 3rd, refugium and 4th, 2 returns and chiller coil. most equipment will be re-used, probably adding LED ligthings as my current sunpower module is only 8X54 T5, which in my opinion will leave a uncovered area of 2 by 2 ft. Would also add 1 more mp40 if decided to discard my donkey years 6060. currently i had 2 mp40es. I need advice and recommendations, please kindly contribute. will also post some pictures of current setups when free.

I change the resin every 3-4 months for normal usage, that is top up water and 10% water change every month. my tank 4x2x2

I drip kalkwasser daily as a form of topping up, and its help to maintain my PH as well.

I used to have sand bed for many years and got to fight with water parameters, especially high N03, than decided to go bare bottom, now all spa frags growing wild. This is the first time in more than 5 years of reeling that I look at my tanks daily with satisfaction and some kind of accomplishment.

What I've learnt are live rocks are properly cycled and may encrusted with coralline algae ( purple, orange, green, red etc) whilst dead rocks are white or have been out of water for some times with foul smell. Dead rocks can be cycled and turn to live rocks.

Currently I have 2 tanks, one is on reverse circle and the other one is normal, didn't notice any significant difference between this 2 tanks.

In the first place u shouldn't run your live rock with fresh water, anyway add salt ASAP.
