All else aside....i doubt u'll be able to find a beckett at half it's original price, no matter how old it is. Apparently it doesn't devalue that way....so it might be a good idea just to invest in one or if you're lucky find one second hand at probably 20-30 percent less than what it originally cost. Just my two cents.... Good luck on ur "hunt"....

It's a good idea to have a little less rocks as i believe the bamboo shark would require a lot of swimming space especially on the ground level, so the more floor space the better... Tank looks good so far tho...keep us posted on developments

Why don't u post a reasonable price that u are looking at as opposed to requesting for offers...firstly, i don't know about the rest but i have no sensing of how much the tank would cost new...so even if you tell us ur selling at half price...i wouldn't know what that price would be. Sorry...no offense meant...am in fact interested but curious to know what is your asking price?...And does the set come with a stand and hood? Cheers

here's a better suggestion, do some reading in www.nano-reef.com U'll be surprised to learn how simple u can keep the setup. I once had two clowns and some corals in an 8 gallon tank with only 28watts of PL light and a hang on filter (no media and just for water movement)...oh and of course liverock and sand Just make sure that ur parameters are in check and do regular water changes..once a week or twice a month depending on how much rock u have and how much shit ur fishes produce just check the site out...it's a great resource for those looking at nano tanks...and don't get fooled to thinking u need a skimmer cos to be honest u don't...it all depends on what u want to do with the tank....i will admit that a skimmer helps but it is by no means a necessity. Had another tank 16 gallons for a year and a half without one...but i had to tear it down when i moved down to singapore Good luck with ur tank...

Thanks for all the replies guys....as an update, the tank is currently going through an overhaul as i was way too busy for the last month and a half and was away practically every weekend...and as a result of this, had a major cyano breakout...so i've transfered all livestock to another tank and will be sorta resetting the tank sometime this weekend... will keep ya'll posted with new pics when the deed is done.... and to answer a few questions...angmoh, one of the reasons why the tank looks bigger than it is, is probably due to the scaping and size of rocks...i wanted to avoid the "piled rocks" look and went for those with interesting shapes and not too large in size....u'll be surprised at how different a tank can look (size wise) when u scape it well... And vagabond...i got my prata at this place in KL called Eco-bact but it was almost a year ago since i bought it....but if u want to check the place out if and when ur down...drop me a pm and i'll give u directions.... Lastly, dkk08, i got the garden eel from reborn at 10 dollars....sadly, i haven't found the eel since i moved my corals to the quarantine tank Well, will post pictures soon so stay tuned...
