Err....r u saying you've been running your pumps with a ball valve restricting the flow this whole time? That's not supposed to be good for your pump as it'll cause too much back pressure. Don't think that's good for the pump in the long run...

No...am not the one meeting u later...(i'm the one you smsed ) And when u mentioned using one pump i assumed it would be something big... but curios to know if the overall flowrate for the dart is sufficient turnover for you as compared to the two aquabees. Sorry if this is but am still in the midst of deciding my next route UPZ for ur sale btw...

It generally takes a couple of months to notice deterioration in an anemone's health and its very gradual (shrinkage and bleeching)..but one things for certain, the lighting is definately not sufficient...unfortunately....i'm speaking from experience as for the heat issue, a cheap alternative to cooling is to use fans blowing directly on the water surface. it's surprisingly efficient and can bring the temp down by 1 to 2 degrees. only drawback to that is the cooling is based on evaporation so you'll need to topup fairly often. Unless u incorporate a float switch and top up system

Close up of the sump design....note the refugium compartment at the front which makes accessing it convenient. it can also be used as a holding tank. The width is 2ft and allows for any 2ft fixture to mount over it.

Tank and Sump, without doors installed yet....(don't worry, it'll come with doors ) And note that the plumbing to the return pump has been changed to remove all the unnecessary elbows...
