update of my tank after installing a (undersize) chiller, now temp btw 26 - 27deg. corals are doing even better. The super-sun now open fully whole day. any comments are most welcome. Thanks

yup, I did and find out that the chiller 100A is way undersize, because it took almost 3-4 hr to cool down 1deg (27deg to 26deg) and everytime it cool 1deg, it cost me about 10cents. hence per month chiller running cost will be approx $15 to $17 dollars. therefore wanted to upgrade to a 300A.

return to 150A back to the owner and got myself a new HC-100A. (that what I can afford, budget budget).. will montor the kick-in and kick-off time. Hopfully not under-size for my 290L + 70L sump

bringing it back to the owner today, cos this morning at 6pm, my tank temp is 24deg and chiller display is still showing 28.1deg. confirm the thermostat is having problem. *sian*

it is normal that during the first cooling stage, the hailea chiller temperature display will not be accuate? it need to "run-in" before the thhermostat read a more accurate reading? the chiller has been running since 4pm today (more than 6hr), the display LED show 29.8deg whereas my tank read 26.3deg

I just got a 2nd hand hailea 150A, set temp at chiller to 26deg and start running since 4pm today and tank temp is droping slowly. however I notice that the temp dislpay on the chiller show 31+deg OMG, but the tank temp is ard 27+deg (at 5:45pm) I tried to calibrate the chiller temp but the lowest I can go is -1.5 and still cannot come close the to tank temp reading. so... is my chiller thermosat having problem? or it is normal for a new (run-in) period? btw, I am using a 2800L/h pump (chiller rating is 1000L/h) because currently that the only pump I can find to test run. anyone can advise. yup. I love the red one most too, my green BTA doesn't look as green as in the LFS. I wonder could it be the blue light I am using. I am using 2 x actinic blue (T5) n 2 x 12K white (T5). maybe I should change one of the tube to power blue. I really don't know.

the LR are mainly from reborn and iwana. bigger ones from from reborn n those smaller and flat ones are from iwana Yup.. I regret dosing copper to treat the ich. thereafter I make like 40% and 40% and another 25% within a week. Then just before new year another 80% water change. really lots of work to reduce the copper level in the water. here are some few photos of the anomoie aft feeding. I like the rose ani most.

update of my simple 2ft tank aft CNY did a major restructured before CNY as most of the coral dead due to dosing of copper to kill white spot. got a few new coral just before CNY, mostly are anomoie (my fav). take a look at some of the photos below, comment are most welcome. Thanks

thanks for the correct, the uncle at C328 told me it approx 3600L/h. anyway it really powerful. even a "china made" pump which quote 5000l/h cannot compare to it.

u can get a used one from the shop along Jln besar toward Simlim twr, before the junction of kitchener rd. I got all my jelly cans from him. cheap. really cheeap.. you can see all the jelly cans on display outside his shop

it have been in the tank for abt 3 weeks only. I feed cylco-eee (duuno spell correctly or not) every other day, with main pump off and only ON wavemaker for abt 1hr btw...I think the scallop is EFS, cos there are some blueish lighting at the mouth.

When topping up water, should we top into the sump or the main tank? is there any different if a sump system is use?

if u drive, u can try the mfg shop at along AMK ave 5, the building behind AMK Techplace. it is located at the 2nd floor where you can drive your car up right to the door. The price are very reasonable because they are the mfg for many government and commercial project. sorry I can't remember the actual address, it behind AMK Techplace along AMK Ave 5. hope this help. thanks
