update of a DIY sump..

i uses spary on silicone grease on my hinges and my fishing equipment... so far so good... just spray on the hinges as and when u feel like it....

a water change will do the trick... maybe more then what u does for ur regular water change... it should slowly balance the water

the rockscape you intended to scape might have some dead spot in it too... you must remember it too... when you scape that time make sure u have lobangs or gap in that structure if not there are very less water flow

hi have u ever think of using a T-joint for your return? so that u can have surface movement and a jet of water straight down from the return. rest of the area think MP 40 will be able to take care of it.

yap food grade salt but will be getting those lower grade rock salt from wholesaler. % of water change all depends on you...

bro fast got a new tank ?? I will be using food grade salt 1kg around less then $2 to cycle my tank after that 100% drain off water in main tank and replace with marine salt. did that to my previous tank... so will be doing the same this time.

any pic to show ur durso pipe... and the end part where the water goes into the sump... Is that part submerge in water ? search RC forum as there would have answer there.

Some update for my tank... Had to enlarge my 3 of my return hole due to incorrect size... (For those making new tank bring along your tank connector to tank make instate of telling them the size) Tools for making two 40mm durso. Guess what the design will be? Had to modify the design due to space constrain in the overflow box. Final product will be ready by tomorrow as i forget to get some other stuffs. Did a leak test for the main tank, think by tomorrow sump tank should be ready for whole system leak test. Pic of my LR in blue tub....all free from pest .... cook and ready to be serve if leak test pass... tomorrow will be the dry scaping day.
