chaeto works best it they are allow to tumbering around ... if they are restricted the bottom part which cant get any lights will die off.

this is how i DIY my DI water... 1. cut some slots at the container... 2. cover them with fine mesh to prevent the resin from coming out 3. cut a hole at the cap and attach to the outlet of the pump 4. pour the resin into the container and screw the cap on 5. put the pump into the water drum and fill it up with tap water within hrs (depend on your water vol) it should turn to zero reading

Guys Just to check how much are your total electricity usage per household.. Recently when i was checking my bills. my total electricity usage per month is around 570kWh. I was wondering how a 4rm flat with 2 person and a 2 ft cube reef tank using LED ... seldom on aircon can use such an amount of electricity... Thus thinking of getting PUB to check my meter after comparing your usage if mine is abnormal. Please let me know how much is your electricity usage per household...

this should be a easier option and fast to know the result i would suggest that you put the exit of the chiller hose to the return pump compartment 3rd if i not wrong which moves water to your main tank This way the return pump will move the chilled water to your main tank. put the hose near to inlet of the return pump so it will draw more chilled water another way get some experience reefer to go to your place and help... this will be the fastest way...

i would suggest the chiller return goes directly to your main tank.. this way you will have 2 return to your main tank .. in case either one fails u still have the other working.

agree that good resin should give 0 ppm and dont release PO4. been using this grade of resin for a long time and it does reduce to 0 ppm. within 1hr it reduce to 4 ppm ... and amount of resin use is 4 cups of small KFC mash potato cntr. the highest amount of water treated with this method is around 240L.. fast and get the job done...
