to drill hole you can go to this place 1 Kelantan Road 208600 a shop call "Kuang Ling" ask the boss if he wants to drill hole for your tank... mostly likely you need to bring it down... cost wise around $10 per hole

go to this area Desker Road Shop Houses, 149 Kitchener Road 208525 there is a hardware shop near to a bus stop... u can find all sort of pvc pipings there ... except some US and JAP brand piping .. best if you can bring along a fitting or pump that you need to join the check valve.

you are right tank design should not allow a lot of water to flow back in the event of pump fail... but where you usually connect the pump ? as close to the bottom of the sump right... so if there is no ball valve and when you need to change the pump dont you think that u need to drain off the section of the sump where there is water connected to your pump...

i will go for a ball valve for the return pump... think about what if your pump spoit and you need to change your return pump.. drain all your water in your sump tank?

your chaeto will not turn ... add a plate of glass at the overflow glass before to return pump to deflect the flow of water going directly upwards

hahaha the only way to reduce is not to keep reef tank... i would prefer a combi of LED with T5...

to add on it is 2 ft wide and 27in in height for the tank.. cabinate is around 2ft wide and 30in in height collection place at SK...

not so sure about it you can try to ask them to change the driver for you to meanwell since meanwell is made in china... if you are a DIY person.. it is cheaper to diy yourself or ask some reefer to diy for you ... then to get them to make one.. most of the materials you can get it online... 1 pc of cheapo 3w white led without star chip cost around less then 1USD if u buy in bulk the only different is the apperance of the light set... DIY you have all those expose wire etc..
