Bottomline is your tank is not fully cycled and that cause your fish to die due to ammonia/nitrite poisoning... Damsel are notorious for their aggressiveness and territorial behavior, so best to avoid them if you want to keep other fishes... Those are majano anemone, pretty harmless but can be pest if it start shifting and sting all your corals... Not much effect on fishes, their sting not that potent compared to other anemone...

I think it is due to individual fish... My previous one wiped out all the Aiptasia but leaving all my zoas alone...

Yea... Maybe perhaps less toxic... i mean for seahare so far i have only seen Dolabella auricularia... Other seahare species, haven seen much... but i agree they import all kind of nudi... From my limited knowledge, the dye is distasteful so it will deter the predator as they dun have speed to escape..

I wouldnt have commented if i haven had personal experience with the seahare... Have experienced the seahare releasing the purple dye, it only make the whole tank purple... Dun have any problem with the other inhabitant in the tank... I dunno about others thou.. And those seahare that you show are a different species if i am not wrong.. The seahares we get here are Dolabella auricularia not the Aplysia punctata...

The amount of LRs will not equal to low nitrate... You will have test for the nitrate, and deal with it according... by doing water change or have DSB or Plenum System... The former will decrease the nitrate gradually, but having the latter will help you to convert nitrate to nitrogen using the anaerobic bacteria in the sandbed... But your sandbed should be at least 3 inch deep or more and it will take sometime for the sandbed to mature... if fast, ard 6 months else will take more time...

If he have an ammonia or nitrite problem... All of his fishes and the sea cuke would have been died by now... Haha... the snails most probably died of ph shock or sg shock.. Be sure that you have not used any copper medication or have high nitrate... they are very sensitive to these...

LPS is a ABSOLUTE NO... They will not survive for long term... have tried it... they at least require 28 degree... Softies is not a problem.. but like what the other say, the colors will not be as nice...

The seahare is not poisonous from what i know... The purple dye that it release for defense is the same theory as what the octopus and squid use for defense... And the diet of the seahare is mainly algaes... So they are not poisonous... As for the other colorful nudi, they feed on corals... these corals will provide the nudi the "things" they need to produce poison for defense and deter predators... Read up more on the seahare, they are not poisonous... i have kept countless seahare, haven seen them crashing my tank...
