The area of the DSB is too small to have any significant effect on the nitrate level.. DSB have to be the same area of your tank or bigger to be effective...

They require deep sandbed and most likely pelagic feeder... And they normally dun feed in captivity...

Actually those you posted are Acanthocepola limbata... But anyway, both are difficult to keep... No matter which species..

Those are Acanthocepola indica... I rarely see so large sized ones...

This species is difficult to keep alive... Almost all dun feed in captivity.. For garden eels, the hassi is the best choice...
