    BioPellets

Yup, I know but with the clumping of the biopellet, there are cases of Becos of his, the biopellet produce Hydrogen sulphide instead..
  4. Similar but this unit is 12w that is why I am interested, there is another high power on at 16w.. I will see if my tank will have salt splash anot.. if not den I will just get a acrylic tube for the led strip..
  5. What is the definition of expensive led.. lol.. This strip is around 19 dollars per strip.. considered expensive? Lol.. I am thinking if I can use the driver to drive more of the Led.. Becos it is cheaper this way.. lol.. the 12v Dc is around 5 dollars also.. and the input for the driver is plug to powersocket.
  6. Yup,DC input.. 12-14v... I will try to look for them.. how much you bought yours at? My lights will be screwed on the under the cabinet. So maybe it will not detach so fast? (trying to delude myself).. but housing in acrylic housing will decrease the light output bah..
  7. LED Specs Rated Voltage: 12~14V Working Current: 900mA So I can get a AC to DC 12V 1A Power Adaptor to power it? Or should I get this driver?

The flow is too low liao.. It will generate Hydrogen sulphide overtime...
  9. Seems to me like a monti more than a christmas tree rock..
  10. From DealExtreme lor.. The Blue you might have to DIY...
  11. From the Ammonia reading, it is confirm ammonia poisoning... They can kill within a day...
  12. I am using the 3w one seems very yellow, to the naked eye it looks white... But in water it is super ugly... Need blue to balance out... But it is very good to pump out the color of zoas, Those that require High Lighting... Not sure about SPS... My light is only a few inch above the light..

    BioPellets

You need flow to deliver bacteria to the biopellets or at least that I what I know... And the tumbling will knock off the old bacteria on the biopellets surface and allow new bacteria to attach on the "Clean" biopellet surface...

    BioPellets

As long as the media tumbles and not get clogged..
  15. No tangs is recommended... Only Goby and Blennies...
  16. It is not recommended as it is cruel and not fair to the fishes, they are living things too... The use of the fishes is to add some ammonia in the water to kick off the ANN cycle... It is the same as adding some prawn or not adding anything, the died matters from your LR and Sand is enough to start the ANN cycle..
  17. You will still need Carbon for the clarity of the tank water as Lionfish are messy eater and your tank will become yellow very fast...
  18. And do not use FW charcoal for your tank, It is not meant for Reef tank, If not wrong, it leeches back into the tank... Buy the GAC (Granular Activated Carbon)...
  19. Your tank is not cycled yet, I am curious who your friend is? Even the basics of cycling the tank is not made known to you? A basic ANN cycle will take a least a month... The fishes will died of Ammonia poisoning, you NH4 level is on the rise which is normal for ANN Cycle... DO more research on initial setup and proper way of cycling the tank before buying any livestock..
  20. PLEASE do not add a koran in a 1x1x1ft tank.. They are meant to be in a big tank, do not stress the fish by putting it in a small area...
