  1. Pelicieri, this is the 2nd piece that is in Singapore.. Wonder what is the price like.. Should be comparably lower if it is direct from Aus.
  2. I guess it is a very rare mutation and chances of getting it again is very very slim.. I believe the nearest captive bred clown would be tangerine but tangerine do have the stripes.. So might need to select from the F1 to do selective breeding.. It looks quite healthy, it will do very well in your hand and hope to see a new morph coming up soon..
  3. Hi all, I have a hybrid trigger to sell, it is a hybrid between Melichthys indicus and Melichthys vidua not a rare hybrid but highly uncommon.. It is stable and eating like a pig, I am currently housing it with henry and eats a lot, it is housed with damsels so relatively safe with fishes that cant fit its mouth, good for fish only tank or predator tank.. I do not have a photo of it now.. but below is a photo from the net, the definition of the black marker fins are not so defined but can tell it is a hybrid.. You can view the fish at Marinelife when you visit henry.. I will take a photo when I drop by Marinelife.. I am looking at around $160 for it.. Still negotiable, it is not a fish you can find easily if you are into fish only tank..
  4. True, some of the more common species are not really worth it to needle and bring it up..
  5. As far as I can remember I dun think there is any in the spider crab exhibit. Only spider crabs.
  6. The only shop that I know is recognised by MAC is coralfarm as they export various locations in US.. Their quarantine facility is up to MAC standards which I think other lfs dun practice much quarantine procedures.. I think most regional collectors and supplier used cyanide to a certain extent as it is easier to get the cryptic species.. Sadly no cure for cyanide once it gets to the point where you can see any signs it is already too late..
  7. Narcosis, the recent shipment of old womenn in thailand is from you? There is a nice transitioning one..
  8. I do agree it is the safest and natural way without any invasive method to the fish and understand why you stand by it completely..
  9. But there are some fishes even with stage decompression they are still unable to survive and needling is the only way, risky but sometimes with good results.
  10. They are not there anymore, I just went there last year june.. They normally are by catch and so if they survive they earn from it if not then they dun lose anything either their main income is from the foodfish that they trawl up.
  11. Bro, orange roughy and orea dory will not be sighted in any dive even in region they are found as the depth they are found in is way way below divers range.. They can only be caught thru trawling boats.. But they are near impossible to keep them.. orange roughy optimal temp is near freezing temperatures.
  12. Give it a few more days.. but a healthy one it should open its light.. unless it is being spooked by something or stressed or sick..
  13. For oddball keepers, there is a Heteroconger taylori at CF mixed together with a tank of Heteroconger hassi.. If anyone is interested to try. I believe it is the first time that this species enter the market but not a big hoohaa compared to other species fishes as it is a unappreciated and difficult fish to most..
  14. 32 is too much.. I only fed 10 cubes.. I think you bought those that are spoilt.. a good mysis cube is white and 10 cube can easily flood a tank..
  15. It is as sticky without the gelatin.. not sure if there are any side effects of using gelatin although it is still from algae.. without strong flow the food can stay at one spot quite well..
  16. At night would be good enough.. after a few months they will take pellets.. you can set a food timer for night time feeding if you feel like it. They prefer micropellets..
  17. That is good news make sure the frozen gel is having nutritious value to it or add make some yourself..
  18. This is new, I didnt know.. I used to cool them becos it is in a enclosed hood.. So I need to get the heat out.. but I guess if it is open concept the temp should be within the the optimal?
  19. Ballast for longer ballast life as they have a optimal runing temp. Light tubes for dispersing the heat from the t5s to the tank, I dun think there is any effect on the performance as the tubes still need to be replaced in a year. But are you using it on a existing fixture or a new diy set.
  20. It is still better to get them wean on to pellets and mysis which is possible and also to ensure they dun wipe out the sps as these fishes will not finish up the whole sps, they actually know to attack parts of the sps and give recover time for the sps to regrow..
