  1. The marine betta will do fine... But the pbt and blueface will pose a problem for the boxfish... when it comes to feeding... they are quite slow in feeding at first, but after sometime they will react to food quite readily.. My one used to fight with the trigger for the mysis cube... You will be amazed at how fast they swim when it comes to feeding..
  2. One of the 2 inch juvenile.. The 4 inch adult...
  3. I kept twice but of different size... First time is two 3 inch juvenile black boxfish, feeding on frozen mysis and my homemade food in a 3ft tank with two trigger... This one kept for quite long... The second time is 1 4 inch adult black boxfish, feeding on frozen mysis in a 2ft tank with other smaller boxfish and cowfish... Less than a month untill the toxin poisoning...
  4. Kept them before... Very cute fish but try not to keep two or more unless they are paired... I ended up with two dead boxfish when I introduced a new boxfish... The new one is stressed by the old one and got too stress and released its toxin... The whole tank of boxfish, all upside down... Carbon will remove a partial amount of the toxin released, but normally if it is the adult size black boxfish, it will be too late to save when you realised something wrong... A full water change is reccommended...

  10. It is not needed for the critters to dig so deep... It so it will defeat the purpose of having the DSB... The purpose of the DSB is to develop a anaerobic environment for the anaerobic bacterias that will break down nitrate to nitrogen gas... And that environment is after the bottom 3-6 inch of your DSB...
  11. They are anenome... Haha... Depend on you to determine they are pest or not... Haha... If no corals near it and they dun propagate... They wun post a problem...
  12. It might be a small Heteractis aurora or Actinodendron arboreum... Actinodendron arboreum Heteractis aurora
  13. Nassarius snail is a good choice... Conch too... As they will burrow themselves in the sand in the day and that will loosen up the sand and prevent solidification of the sand.. Brittlestars, Heart Urchin... If you dun mind seeing a big long thing on your sand bed, sea cukes is a good choice too... If for fishes, Not much to recommend, other than the difficult to keep two spot goby.. The other sand shifting goby are really terror to reefer as they tend to bomb the corals on/nearby the sandbed...
  14. I dun think they are that small.. So bbs should do fine.. Or you will need to get rotifers...
