  1. Zebrasoma are fairly aggressive once established... I have not kept YT before... But experience with Sailfin and Scopas and PT... They are considered quite bold, but will not chase other tangs around, they will stand their ground for their territory... Sailfin might chase a bit... The mirror trick works well in distracting the old fishes...
  2. I am thinking diatoms? Dunno if it will work...
  3. Ya, It is not a must to get a higher Hp Chiller... And like bro Solo, I agree that there is no right or wrong, go the way it best fits you and you are comfortable with... Bro, like your last sentence.. LOL...
  4. It really depends on the equipments you have.... I have not tried with LED... But with MH and T5s the heat from them is really hot... Actually it is based on case to case, if you can keep the temp in range like Justin, I would say 1/10hp is enough.. But personally I would feel more better with a bigger chiller... Yupz, I agree on this...
  5. What brown algae you are taking about? Brown/Green MicroAlgae
  6. I would advise against using a 1/10 Hp for your tank.. You are overworking the chiller thus lowering its lifespan, not cost efficient, running time is longer than non running time,(depends on the equipments you have and the heat generated)... You would do better with a larger HP chiller...
  7. Most of the time, It is the skimmer that is causing the micro bubble problem..
  8. Furan bath works well.. Each bath 20 mins... I use tank water mixed with furan... Works for me.. Continue untill the pox disappear... And it is contagious for what i experience...
  9. Hi bro, More interested in the previous one you posted thou... Maybe both.. Haha... Sorry,
  10. Ya, sometimes the eye spot for juv wrasse will disappear when it grow older...
  11. NP, You mean it is out and swimming already?
  12. Haha... Found it!!! Halichoeres marginatus
  13. Some aiptasia sp... Nice yumas... Any chance of selling/fragging????
  14. This is really tough one... I am leaning more towards coris flavovittata due to the lines... But it is just too small to decide it species.. But if you are really keen to know the ID, you can email Wetwebmedia... I am sure they will be able to answer you...
  15. Yes, it will... But if you really like it, den can just leave it as it will not move much once it found a comfortable spot... I just see it as a mini anemone.. LOL... Still left1 in your tank??? Haha..
  16. Seems like a Majano... Can just monitor it and make sure it doesnt move around too much..
  17. It might be the brown crab... The Cherry crab, not very sue about its behavior..
  18. I think is the same plastic mesh... There is a smaller hole one.. But yours the hole seems quite small liao... the fishes still get washed in?
  19. If it is small frag on a rock it might be worms.. I had all small frags suck to a hole on my LR... Should be bobbit worm or big Bristleworm... I have never caught it red handed thou... But i have no crabs in my tank.. That will be be the only explanation?
  20. It is still live and moving... LOL... Still eating and grazing around... Just got shocked or stressed by the rock dropping down.... But in the end, it went for the wave maker... Sigh...
  21. Yes they got the purple ink from the cyano they eat... Had experience it before when i accidentally drop a rock on one... Your tank just turn purple lor, all other coral and fishes are okay... it will get skimmed out by the skimmer anyway...
  22. Algae scrubber, does not fully eliminate phosphate if the phosphate level is too high and the algae growing on your algae scrubber is not enough to take in the phosphate as fast as your tank produce them... Use the Phos remover together with the algae scrubber will help you to reduce phosphate... Cyano are not algae but bacteria, can be solved by adding more movement to the area with cyano.. Sea hare do eat cyano but case to case, i had some sea hares that dun eat cyano... Or last resort is to use medication to remove cyano... Use red slime remover...
  23. Think the price increased quite a lot... Used to be $16 per kg years ago when I asked... Bro, how is the spread of the lights? Hope to see the results of the sps after sometime...
