  1. Lucky I immune to poison liao... LOL..
  2. A fish that is quarantined and feeding at the LFS will be easier to get it acclimatized to our tank condition.. A lot of the LFS have been around since Ocean Planet/ Paradiz Reef Days and they are still around and providing quality livestock to the marine community... Most livestocks from those LFS with quarantine facility are likely to survive better than those without quarantine... Buying from LFS without quarantine is your own risk, the parasite such as ich and velvet will infect your tank and caused a wipeout..I believe a lot of reefers experienced that when starting out... Not saying that a livestock from a LFS with quarantine faciity will do better but the chances are higher that they dont carry any of these risks... Pricing is very subjective, if the fish only they can bring in, i will still patronise them even if the price is higher... But with a quarantine tank at home, you have more freedom to buy from LFS without quarantine.. But than the cost of maintaining the quarantine tank at home, it is something that is long term as long as you are adding fishes, so the cost of running the QT is on yourself else you can continue to buy fishes that you have to keep replacing all the time.. But sorry, it is not true and genuine reefer that keep the market alive, most of the time are new reefers that are not exposed to any information and buying livestock every week and replace when they die and they are buying the expert fishes and not easy to keep alive, it is a common sight at most farms.. If the LFS really cater to true and genuine reefers, once we buy fishes we can keep it alive and it is the end of story...
  3. Yes, That is always the way I buy things if it is not within my means or not that worth, I will just not buy..
  4. They are considered pest but they are fairly okay if they dun spread and move around which mine did not..
  5. Actually they are not Nephthyigorgia. These are Eleutherobia which is highly sought after by azoox keepers, esp the yellow ones..
  6. Yup, but I think fragging is out of the question for them... Practically no one frag them before and being azoox, it is difficult..
  7. Lol.. Common name are very confusing.. But who cares as long as you know it is the coral you want..
  8. Bro, it is not a sponge.. LOL... Will be joining when the time draw near... LOL!!.
  9. One of the Cardinal I wanted to get so much... Pseudamia zonata also known as paddlefin cardinal.. Same genus as my Pseudamia amblyuroptera..
  10. They will grow big but they are very nice fishes.. And take note they will jump at night if startled..
  11. This is one of the loophole but with the handphone number indicated... It should help a bit..Unless the scammer is even going change handphone number... If I am the scammer, I certainly wun go thru the trouble of changing handphone..
  12. Basically the subforum was to let the community know about which reefer is doing dishonest transaction and not to flame anyone, so if the situation is getting out of hand with kaypohs adding fuel to fire and posting comments that is of no use and unconstructive comments and just make things worse, it have happen a lot of times over the years with some kaypoh reefers... So we need to control by closing the thread once there is an agreement with the buyer and seller or with the request of the thread starter. The stating of name list without any evidence or proof or any backup is of no use as we wun know what is happening, it might be a misunderstanding or a personal attack.. And us Mods are not law enforcers we are in no position to demand the seller a refund for the faulty equipment or unhealthy livestock, so if the buyer wants to file a report for scamming, they can go to the police station with the relevant evidences.
  13. Not possible... Zoas dun have sting but palys does but the sting is not even strong enough to cause anything serious to any fishes... It is due to other things..
  14. OMG, is that Heterodontus zebra?!?!?! It is one of my favorite shark although I cant keep one.. Grows to 4ft and keeps that beautiful zebra stripe..
  15. Nothing out of the ordinary, 24/7 feeding and prevention of any algae growth on it..
