  1. They will always remain popular which is a good thing for redsea shipments. But for me it has been getting boring to see these same few fishes every redsea shipment. At least once in a while can send us something different right!
  2. We should ordering purple tank and golden butterfly! LFS should bug their supplier to send us some other redsea fishes. If other countries can get them in their redsea shipment i dun see why we cant. Most likely is we never request for anything else except for purple tang, sohal tang and golden butterfly and our LFS probably thought redsea shipment only have these fishes or singapore reefers only want these three fishes that's all. NOT TRUE. We want something else like xanthotis angel and pauci butterfly, and also eight line flasher wrasse and redsea regal angel.
  3. Yes u r right. On 2nd look the tail is not v yellow and the lines are thinner, denser and more scribbly.
  4. All are v rare. But yes, the rarest of the rare would be the emperor hybrid. Looks to be a emperor x ear spot. Show size. Really amazing fish and even rarer than conspic hybrid and clarion hybrid combine.
  5. Two amazing maculosus x koran hybrids and a aberrant yellow tang in the same tank.
  6. This tank is for LCF. So many bandits in there plus conspics and a super rare maculosus x koran hybrid!
  7. Amazing fish and here is the whitebar asfur in a HK FOLWR tank back in 2008. I dun think this tank is still around anymore. It contain the most amazing fishes like clarion, aberrant tangs, bandits, maze angel, conspic, emperor hybrid, africanus, armitagei etc.
  8. Dinner plate size. Morph back to normal colors in less than half a year. LCK has brought in at least three to date and i've witnessed how fast they change back to their colors. I would have liked it more if it wont morph back. Like the aberrant coral beauty at CF now is a big and worthless full grown normal coral beauty. Here are other rarities from LADD: 3" black tang. This is now extremely rare size to obtain. Only small or v big black tangs are now available to the market. 3" ones are becoming fewer and fewer in the sea for some reason. So if u ever see a 3" one again at LCK, pls snatch it! 2.5" xanthotis angelfish. V rare angelfish. Found in redsea shipment on rare occasion and even rarer to find it in east african shipment! Furthermore they usually come at bigger size. This african xanthotis is only 2.5", simply stunning! I'm a big fan of rare and reefsafe triggerfish but sadly cant keep them becos of my small tank. Rare and reefsafe ones like crosshatch and goldenback from hawaii are ever poopular and have been widely discussed. My new love is this kiri triggerfish from xmas island. They are usually v big, 6" and above. However this one is only 4.5", which is v small for a kiri trigger. Beautiful, deepwater and one of the most reefsafe trigger for your reef tank. But be prepared to pay upwards of 1k if any LFS offer it for sale here! West Aussie jewel, the True personifer angel. Came in three times but did not gather too much interest from local reefers. Reason being this fish will only show the gorgeous blue face of a male when it hits 7" and above, not a desirable fish at that big size. Otherwise smaller ones are usually drab brownish to black females and selling at two to three times the price of a false personifer, it is quite understandable why it is not popular here. Nevertheless, it is still a rare fish w a distinctive tail band and is v popular in HK where pple are crazy over all angelfish. Another aussie gem, the v rare Lunula triggerfish. Not reefsafe and usually caught v big, 7" and above. Never appeared before in our aussie shipment becos trigger is not popular locally. This lunula trigger is only 3" and is the smallest ever being sold and it'll be a v v long wait before another one this small is available. V costly fish, price rivals that of the kiri trigger. Lastly the hawaiian blue spot boxfish. Not a very easy fish. This fish is now available at CF and u can go down to find out more on your own if it interests u.
  9. A more colorful version of the pseudochromis bitaeniatus at Iwarna earlier this afternoon. I just want my sankeyi dottyback!!
  10. Wow! It could be a hybrid. But it could be a aberrant declivis too. No matter what it is, it's a small fish and i would gladly pay 600 for it.
  11. Bodianus Cylindriatus. Found 250m and deeper in Japan and Hawaii.
  12. Chaetodontoplus generally grow huge and need a lot of swimming space. And those big size one are hard to adapt and keep alive and i tend to be like u too, dislike most species from the chaetodontoplus family. However there are a few that stay small. Like Singapore angel and poliourus angel, they rarely exceed 3". I'm lucky to able to keep a poliourus angel, which is a wonderful fish that is still with me. There is another one that stay small and it is one of the rarest of the chaetodontoplus, second only to the famous Ballina angel from lord howe australia. Here it is, Chaetodontoplus Niger. A cute little angel that has not yet appear in the trade! V rare and found deep. Shallowest is about 40m in some parts of Japan water. Otherwise usually 80m and deeper. Many pics to follow:
  13. Good luck on searching for thiellei. To date four to five thiellei's have passed thru my hands. My last pair is now with Coolguy. They are v easy clowns and quite peaceful also, one of the best clowns i've ever had. Leucs i had yet to try. Cos never really came across those nice whitecap ones, cos i prefer the cap to be not connected to the cheek bars. Also too ex!
  14. U have so many species of clowns in your tank? That's quite a feat that they dun fight. The latz are gorgeous. My favourite. But i also hope one day i can also get a pair of mcc clowns.
  15. It doesn't, sadly. But if it does, the damage won't be small.
  16. Shallow enough to use casting net to catch. No need to dive.
  17. I love all the new ones, but love this new one the most. Cos i've a thing for rare deepwater fish and this erdmanni is the only deepwater fangblenny. At 200ft depth, it's a v interesting and amazing blenny cos blenny are usually shallow, and v shallow. Furthermore, erdmanni has a v close resemblance to my favourite meiacanthus, the kamoharai!
  18. There wasn't much to lemon post. He just mentioned he dun like chaetodontoplus but said nothing about those liking the genus. I think u've over-reacted.
  19. Anyway if u find your tank empty here are some fishes u can aim for. Every fish i listed below are most reefers dream fishes and they are not cheap and are all around 2k range with some much higher. For u to consider since your taste has now reached a v high level. Clarion Gem tang Maze angel Wrought iron
  20. Beautiful taiwan fishes! Maze Angels Blue lines Selene and modestus
  21. Nice! Empty but nice. V serene and the fishes look healthy and elegant with ample swimming space. Not to mention some of the fishes are out of reach to most reefers and make us envious. Add in a few rare butterfly will spice up the whole tank by a lot!!
  22. Will be a v long wait. Obtainable thru M3 if u one day u r willing to drop 4500 on the fish.
