  1. More liopropomas! This time are the big ones that grow up to 5". Liopropoma Eukrine (Atlantic wrasse bass) Price: around $500 Care: Easy. Where to find: From carribbean shipment. Hard to find. Requires special order from our LFS. So far only one has came to singapore. Terry's liopropoma eukrines from Iwarna
  2. Super rare Meuschenia Freycineti (six spine leatherjacket) from Australia! Hybrid tinker butterfly
  3. Super rare amelanistic flame from Marshall island found at LADD! This fish was sold at USD 2k. and a nice small bandit
  4. This is not really rare. It is one color form of coral beauty and occasionally found in our shipment. Some said it is a deepwater form, but i dont think so. But anyway this washed out color form is not very attractive and as such the price of this fish is usually the same as a normal coral beauty one.
  5. This is a normal maroon clownfish. Maroon clowns can show an "angry" color which will make its body slightly darker. But in this pic the black is abnormally dark, so its most likely a photoshopped effect.
  6. Atrosalarias fuscus is a fairly common fish at CF. Go to their tanks at the back and u can find some of them but they are usually black or greenish brown. Bright yellow ones are not that easy to find and come to think of it i dont recall seeing one before i think.
  7. If emblemaria hypacanthus is gg to be available it will be an inexpensive fish below $100. But there is no collection at the moment and likely not going to happen anytime soon.
  8. To those reefers who were confused. Emblemaria Hypacanthus (common name Gulf Signal Blenny) A mexican fish that is not available in the market. A few yrs ago i tried to get from Dejong Marine but to no avail. If available will be an inexpensive fish. Emblemaria Pandionis (common name Atlantic Sailfin Blenny) Readily available from carribbean shipment. Also an inexpensive fish. So if u r looking for hypacanthus it will be a long wait but most likely never going to happen. But if u want pandionis it is readily available. Hope this clarifies.
  9. Sailfin blenny is readily available thru Iwarna upon ordering. There is an upcoming carribbean shipment, pls contact joe-p if u wan a sailfin blenny.
  10. Me too! I hope to own a tonstrinum or an aberrans someday!
  11. Extremely rare deepwater morph of mystery wrasse from Tahiti. It is more golden yellowish in color and is caught at depth over 300 ft! As a comparison, our normal mystery wrasses are collected at 100 ft depth or shallower.
  12. 2 pieces available. Large size! Price should be $1k, call joe Iwarna to confirm.
  13. Chingchai's Narcosis Pair!! However he updated both Narcosis died of unknown reason! Very tragic news! Ching mux be devastated.
  14. Deepwater coral beauty from Vanuatu Coral sea ventralis anthias pair (Iwarna bring these beauties in regularly) Rare hybrid tinker butterfly from Marshall Island
  15. Nice! Not a commonly seen fish. A more legitimate common name would be whitetail Bristletooth tang. It is neither a variant nor aberrant of the hawaii endemic kole tang. It is a completely different species of its own and its scientific name is Ctenochaetus flavicauda. C.flavicauda has quite a widespread range from west pacific all the way to redsea and africa but mainly comes from christmas and tahiti collections. C.strigosus (or your normal kole tang) is on the other hand found only in Hawaii. Shown below is a C.flavicauda from Tahiti Shown below is the commonly available C.strigosus from Hawaii In case anyone is confused, there is also another rather similar whitetail tang known as Tomini Tang (Ctenochaetus Tominiensis) from our indo-pacific region.
  16. Anyone wants this fish pls pm me for estimated pricing. Fish can be ordered through Iwarna. Thanks.
  17. very interesting fish and very unusual aberration. i would guess coral beauty aberrant. Thanks for sharing! I hav not watched this vid before. Indeed a very rare butterfly in the hobby but abundant in their natural habitat. It shows the natural habitat of the falcifer butterfly and tells us this fish is not to be kept in a normal reef tank setup if it ever will become available.
  18. Chingchai's resplendent angelfish pair And his beautiful huge display!
  19. The next part we will move on to the more ferocious and bigger Liopropomas! Stay tuned!
  20. Liopropoma Sp from Palau Price: Not available. Care: Unknown. Where to find: Not available. One specimen caught at 100 m depth in Palau deepwater expedition. Fish was killed for science. This fish is clearly a new species!
  21. Liopropoma Flavidum Price: Unimaginable! Care: Easy and hardy. A small basslet that can be trusted with some bigger ornamental shrimps. Where to find: So far only one known live specimen is kept in Japan long time ago. Fish caught at 60 m depth. No other information available. Only live pic of a flavidum (A full neon yellow liopropoma! I can't even imagine such a fish exists!)
  22. Liopropoma Tonstrinum Price: No accurate price listing but estimated to be sold between $3000 to $4000 in Japan. Care: Easy and hardy. A small basslet that can be trusted with some bigger ornamental shrimps. Where to find: So far this fish has only been available to the Japanese. Only a handful are collected each year.
