  1. Aberrant Tomini Tang Aberrant powder brown tang An an unknown fish that i need help to id...
  2. Big Lunatus and pintail fairy and an impressive lunatus hybrid
  3. I heard from my LFS owner they cost the same from supplier. However large ones requires more packing and cost more to ship. But smaller ones are more popular here in local market, so wat LFS owner here usually does is to sell the smaller ones at a higher price to cover for the whole shipping cost. Big ones need to sell cheaper so that they can clear faster.
  4. Clarions is more expensive as it gets smaller. Best price now in singapore is around S$3500 for a 4". Bigger ones will be slightly cheaper. But all priced at least S$3k.
  5. I always have no luck with helfrichi either. I m trying again because it is very cheap at LCK! I cant resist it.
  6. OMG! Gorgeous! If squirei is an angel a lunatus would be a fallen angel!
  7. Helfrichi firefish (Newest member of my tank) Arulentus anthias
  8. Odontanthias Fuscipinnis Spanish Flag Sacura sp Plectranthias Pelicieri Bodianus sp
  9. They only get that deep fiery red color when they reach a big size (>4"). Young fish are just largely pale yellow with gold dots and a light pinkish belly. Shown here is one about 9cm. It's pale yellow colored with some light pink. And the fish under blue lighting:
  10. No inverts will eat ich (trophont stage) off the body of a tang. Neither will cleaner wrasse do that. The visible ich (trophont stage) on the fish body drop off on its own after 3 to 7 days to encyst itself and start another cycle of even deadlier infection. So do not be fooled when you see the ich on a fish cleared, it is going to come back and cause an outbreak. The free swimming ich (theront stage) is the only stage when copper or hyposalinity is effective against it. Do a search on the net and you will find tonnes of articles on ich cycle and the cure.
  11. Liopropoma Aurora at BH (Japan). Very difficult fish. Always suffer from decompression problem according to Koji. Price: Approx $5000
  12. New liopropoma Tonstrinum in BH (Japan). From Tahiti. Price: Approximately $3000
  13. They are expensive not because they are nice. They are pricey because of their rarity and the difficulty (very deep) to collect some of them.
  14. Vanuatu Whitebar mystery is apparently quite common in HK vanuatu shipment. When they have vanuatu shipment, they will have whitebar mystery. Perhaps those who are visiting HK keep a lookout for it and bring one home! Whitebar mystery is now unobtainable in Sg because no LFS carries Vanuatu shipment anymore. Shown below is a big whitebar mystery in HK Sealife Vanuatu shipment this week. Compare it to the length of the fingers, it is really huge!
  15. Another ultra rare deepwater tahiti golden mystery wrasse! Ok name is too long. Let's just call it the Tahiti mystery wrasse. Again only one piece caught this time. It's so gorgeous!
  16. No. White queen is a very uncommon morph of the queen angel and is so far only seen in St Paul's Rocks, Brazil. Singapore has NEVER imported any St Paul queens before. St Paul's collection has stopped since more than 10 years ago. Even back then when St Paul's queens are available, no white queen has ever been documented in the trade. Not even in Japan and HK where they get the bulk of the St Paul queens. According to a credible LFS, back then St Paul queens are just priced a little higher than normal queens. Around 200 USD wholesale. So if we received it would just be slightly over $400. However St Paul queens amazing coloration is known to revert to normal in captivity. As such even if a white queen is ever available, be prepared it will turn normal after a while.
  17. YOUR AT DIED OF ICH!! Sadly my only success with AT is i keep it in a coppered tank and many successful AT keepers will tell you the same! Without dosing copper, i have never kept a single AT alive. I only know of very few pple who manage to keep AT long enough in a reef tank without copper. Bro dnsfpl is one of them. Feeding is only moderate difficult. They eventually start eating after a week or two. But what caused them to die within the first a week is ich. Stay away from AT unless (1) you are ready to dose copper or (2) you have an ultra stable and seasoned tank!!
  18. Hi Kamil, How big is your tank? By right tomini tang will not harass a blenny as tangs r usually aggressive towards conspecifics (that means their fellow tangs family). The only reason a tang may harass your blenny could be a small tank size issue. However even is the tank is small (less than 3ft) given time they can still co-exist with no issue at all. Catching out the tomini tang is a good idea. Let the midas stabilises and become more bold in the tank for about a week or two. Then after that re-introduce the tomini tang. If chasing and harassment persist, repeat the process. Catch out and then re-introduce after a week or two. Keep on doing this and after one or two rounds usually, the tomini tang will stop harassing the midas. It is tedious, but it will work if you are patient and determined. Hope this helps.
