  1. Good luck to all getting results tmr. 'O' level.... that's 8 years ago for me! Damn so old liao! But well again i'm still a student so i still understand how nervous it this waiting for the results. All the best!
  2. Erm chercm, kind of feel sad for u cos it's like one against so many, perhaps u should back down and so everyone can rest this matter.
  3. I heard before low salinity will cause corals colour to fade and grow slowly. Have not heard any for fishes so not very sure but this is what i read from another forum: "Fish only systems are frequently kept at artificially low specific gravities (1.017-1.020) commercially for three principal benefits. 1) Cost of salt mix is less; even "natural" water that has to be hauled may be diluted with fresh at a savings. 2) Parasite and microbial levels are reduced; they can't make the osmotic stretch as well as macro-life. 3) Gas solubility is enhanced; increasing capacity, health." Not sure how true.
  4. U mean liopropoma rubre (swissguard basslet), will probably get it as a substitute but muz wait for carribean shipment. The basslet i've shown is from Bali shipment which i got at a steal for $15 only. It's rare and does not even have a proper described name, web jux put it as Liopropoma Sp (or yellow tail basslet). LiveAquaria is selling one at US$89.99 and Marinecenter at US$119. That's why because of its rarity (and not its price) i hope it can survive.
  5. Mine is a FOWLR, keep between 1.020~1.021, temp is 27~28 degree celsius. Planning to decrease it slowly to 1.018.
  6. It's also called Dusky Butterfly. Has been there for a few weeks already. An uncommon butterfly.
  7. Oh it's fat becos jux fed. If not the stomache quite sunken. Sad, it's quite a rare fish, hope it'll get well. Will update its condition in future.
  8. This is a pic of it swimming, it's almost always in this state.
  9. Hmm may be swim bladder disease, how to tell? no sign of bloated stomache.
  10. Hi, I've a liopropoma which is suffering from decompression malady. It is swimming head down and struggling to swim balance not to float to the surface, but it is still eating very well. How can i cure it? Or the problem will slowly go off by itself? I heard on the net that the fish may slowly die of exhaustion if i dont catch it out and pierce the bladder to release the extra air, but it's v difficult for me to catch the fish and i dont have experience with venting fishes! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.
