  1. omg, they remind me of the freshwater parrot fish. It is cute and colorful, but i hope this will only stop at clownfishes.
  2. This is confirmed a latifasciatus. It's collected in madagascar and shipped to Japan: Latifasciatus. In the link can see the female also, but to a noob person like me it looks totally like a mature allardi.
  3. V nice, love the rockscape and the big angels, a tank tat i cant keep. Some qns hope u can answer: Has this new tank been dose w copper? With so many boisterous fishes the scooter blenny can get enough to eat? How come the sand does not extend to the right hand side of the tank, how u keep them at only one side? Is there an africanus angel inside?
  4. Finally the most inquisitive inhabitant of the tank, gem tang..
  5. His spectacled look actually makes him looks funny and a little stupid looking.. The small fish above his head is the joculator which i actually intended to sell off as well, but....
  6. Why no one show their conspics yet?? This is almost 6 inches and that's he's favourite resting spot. The conspic actually swim a lot and too much in the tank, i prefer serenity and this big fish has distorted that peace.
  7. I've a bad feeling something will happen to the tank during my trip this time, so got to post some pics in remembrance of the LS if touchwood something happen. After my return i'll be slowly (hopefully, because this tank as been dose w copper before, if anyone w experience of whether a coppered tank can house corals again pls share w me!) returning to corals and Lemon's LPS tank will be an inspiration. Actually wanted to sell this pair together w the rhomboid, but they are lucky because they are so hard to catch and i ended keeping them....
  8. My favourite mixed reef tank: Most impressive collection of fishes in a single reef tank i've ever seen.
  9. My favourite Nano Tank: These 2 fishes sum up to almost $20k!
  10. Rusty flame hybrid. More i look at them the more i like them.
  11. Quite interesting to me, din know adult (1st pic) and juvi (2nd pic) of A.tricinctus looks so different in terms of colors:
  12. Seeee, this is wat i mean, only expert can tell the diff. I'll always remain lost.
  13. It's good that u've the patience. I always giv up when they start saying things like see the little black caudal fin or see the darker fin tail or slightly longer less yellowish head bla bla bla.. I jux cannot see it! They all look like Clarks to me! So now i jux post pic and wait for the expert to name them haha.
  14. Jux came back from LCK. These are the rarities i was told still available: 2 Gem tangs 4 platinum clowns (Fuel, the clowns are waiting, past this weekends they'll be flying to phillipines) 1 conspic (pellet eating) Wobbegong Shark (Even Sentosa took an interest and is coming down to look at this fish) Other fishes tat caught my attention: Morrison's Fairy Wrasse in the blue tub (i din know these were morrisoni females until kueytoc mention it, but they look rather dull to me) Bicinctus Clowns Healthy and feeding m size AT Large beautiful Chrysurus sm personifers m scribbled Giant Black Tang Since there is no rule that said cant state price, the price for the first three fishes are: 24009001900.
  15. Your cleaner will become lazy overtime, esp when it gets bigger. I use to have this misconception tat cleaner shrimps are a muz in every reef tank because our fishes benefits from them and they are scavengers which helps clean the tank. But now i hate them and i'll never add them to any tank because all they do after a while is steal food and do nothing. Hermit crabs and peppermints are better scavengers. But still cant any substitute which can clean parasites off fishes?
  16. Falcifer came only one piece i think. Aculeatus is actually the cheapest and the most obtainable prognathode. Yes Majorie is a rare fairy, but not so rare tat we'll never see it, like the holy grail earlei and sanguineus fairy. Especially now that there are more hunger and craving for rare fishes, collectors will start to see the profit in majorie and they'll target collect this fish and increase it's availability. I prefer marcellae over bank, how abt u?
  17. No, i dun drool at his fishes, i drool at his tank. Of all of Ching's fishes i'm only interested in his resplenden, becos tat's the only real rare fish in his tank to me, almost unobtainable. Yes wild caught are not available anymore. I'm waiting for RCT..
  18. I no clownfish expert, esp the clarki's complex group has been exceedingly tough for me to distinguish. But no doubt, the pic posted is a fuscocaudatus taken by a well known underwater photograph / marine biologist, Luiz Rocha, at Seychelles.
  19. The majorie got chance, since its from fiji. Bank's butterfly has a chance also but slightly lower because our local carribbean source carries limited and boring varities of atlantic fishes so our LFS should seriously consider changing to other suppliers! But if banks ever comes in one day, den other atlantic fishes like carmabi and aculeatus will also start appearing. Anyway many years ago the 10x rarer than banks, the falcifer butterfly, came in but no one took a liking to it. Locally there's no market for rare prognathodes. So i'm content jux to see a few more marcellae.
