The market is there i believe, maybe v small. Carmabi and clarions are sold to local reefers, local reefers who dun hav acct in SRC. Lemon, U and me we are all willing to pay upward of 1k or even slightly more for WI. The price has to be reasonable and justifiable. We're looking at a 6 inches full grown one and not a 3 to 4 inches WI. Tot RB would hav been knowledgeable in the price range for the fish before bringing them in. But well it all depend on their supplier i guess, their interruptus price is on the other hand reasonable. Maybe we should get that instead. -

Not gg to happen. And i dun think anyone will buy the WI at RB not solely due to the price but the size also, large butterfly are jux not popular among reefers. So after this shipment hard to see another one coming in, unless we've daring LFS like LCK which can bring in dozen pieces at lowest price. -

So cute but big ones also v nice. The steeper head of the big ones and their well developed black body w a metallic sheen is so unique and look like some mecha fish. A fish tat is beautiful both juvi and adult, reali i wan wrought so muhc more than interruptus! -

Apogon Properuptus, Australia and Japan. Rarer version of cyanosoma. -
Although covered w diatoms and hair algae, can still tell that the rockscape is v nice and successful. Hope it clear fast.

Wat's this? So black i cant see a thing except for three white stripes! Domino clown? Or normal black clown? Or got a wrought iron hiding in the background i oso dunno. U reli like black so much. U are a man in love w black... And big NPS tank v hard to maintain long term. But if u wanna go NPS, keep more colourful ones like sun coral. More fishes tat benefit from your NPS corals like ventralis and PQ.

Is it? A few spots i dun wan. Mux hav many fine spots like the one in the pic. But anyway i still dun wan. I jux wan a rusty flame. Is it? Was i there? Next time show me, never see flame w so many fine spots before. It's so rare, but so pale looking. The casper ghost tang is such an apt name! V nice white. Makes me wanna get one more to try. -

This japanese tank is one of the most expensively stocked. All v rare and ex fishes. Note particularly the flame angelfish with interesting spots and markings, v unique and unseen before! -

They are shallow, and fairly wide range(vanuatu, easter, auustralia, coral sea). But they are so ex cos they are poor shippers. -

They're already not ex le, at S$500 we are paying a lot lesser than other countries. -
Why so many reefer crazy over wrasses ?
Digiman replied to braincoral's topic in General Reefkeeping_
I like this list, so extensive and cover prices somemore. But do note the unobtainable list is only to us. In other countries some of them maybe obtainable. Example Johnsoni can be obtainable in the states jux tat they've to coax one diver out of retirement. Lunatus and Lanceolatus the japanese do get them at rare occassions. My personal favourite will be jordani fairy wrasse, beautiful, easy and peaceful and the best not overly expensive. Can get at $120 now. -

Flavicauda is typically imported through vanuatu shipment, but they're rare. So not seen v often. The ultimate Hawaii deepwater tank has long been achieved already, and none other by blueharbour mr koji wada. He keeps a display tank where inside contains a sanguineus hog, 2 fuscipinnis anthias, many hawaiiensis ventralis, one personatus male which has turned a bit female, P.basabei, and other super rare non-hawaii fishes like debelius angel, multicolor x coral beauty hybrid, kellogi plectranthias, guyanensis butterfly etc. There's also another separate tank where he keeps the ultimate deepwater butterfly from hawaii, Roa Excelsa! The pair of personatus has to wait for a while. The rest are quite obtainable to him. U cant bluff a sanguineus using a bimaculatus! Fuscipinnis is also v ex, commanding the same price as sanguineus as they're caught at the same depth despite sanguineus being a little harder to catch. The baby fuscipinnis is gg to cost a bomb also! U've to see a fuscipinnis in person to realise the difference between it and blotchy are worlds apart! -

Digiman replied to Digiman's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
It's the rubrolineatus only i think. The anthias is only caught at tat depth. 120m=400ft, which is basabei depth in Hawaii, lipogramma depth in carribbean, boylei depth in cook island!! No wonder the fish is sold at 2.5k despite being so red-striped anthias lookalike!! I always have a thing for deepwater fishes. Although the lanceolatus is so much more beautiful, the rubrolineatus jux intrigues me more. -

I said flavicauda at RB? I actually meant resplendent anthias female haha. Resplendent and flavicauda female look v similar, but flavicauda is not found in philippines shipment, so the females we see frequently at Iwarna, Ah Beng, RB etc are resplendent ones. Randalli females actually look slightly different compared to the two. I like resplendent anthias, next time can get Iwarna ones, a lot and healthy. The pseudanthias rubrolineatus has v nice tail. The holanthias is not so nice. But both fish are v v deep in Japan and tat makes them v v rare! -

The lanceolatus is not v deep. The other two anthias are v deep. 120m.
