  1. I like the purple piece in the middle. V nice.
  2. The white seafan is it bleached or it's naturally white?
  3. Thank You. I'm a lazy person, i can only keep simple tank. Thank You. I need a few more fishes, waiting for them after cny.
  4. Yes it's stable depending on how u place it. Big rocks are v heavy, so epoxy is v hard to bind them. But their own weight makes them v stable.
  5. I would say even yellow tang is not at risk! There are tonnes of yellow tangs out there, so i dun think we even collect more than 5% of them for the hobby! We need figures as evidence! No figures provided on how many caught each year and how many left in the ocean i will not believe any particular hawaii species is at risk! Anyway they are banning it not becos any fishes from hawaii is at risk of over collection. The reason for banning is becos when divers are collecting the fish they are destroying the reefscape and loss of the beautiful reefscape will affect the tourism business in hawaii! So they will ban the divers from collecting but still allow the tourists to dive and snorkel and trample on the reef.
  6. It's easy. I got three pieces of big rocks and assemble them into a bridge. Then the rest are smaller rocks or tonga branches stack on top depending on how i wan to put the corals. It's v easy, no epoxy needed. Heavy rocks bottom and smaller and light pieces above. I keep contact with the sandbed minimal to facilitate easy cleaning of the sandbed. I prefer minimalist scaping so not a lot of rocks are used to create more open space for fishes to swim. But at the same time must be enough to place all the corals i hav.
  7. Yes it's flashing. Cos i on blue lights. I normally on in the evening and whenever blue light is on it'll flash. So it get use to it and whenever i on blue light it'll flash for a while.
  8. Some side shots where the fishes can be seen.
  9. Ok i on the blue T5 and here's another shot tat depicts a more accurate colour: I'll get a better camera soon, now using hp camera so v blur. Marcovan, can u spot the three LPS u gave me in the picture? Thanks for the corals, they make filling up my tank even faster.
  10. Haha yes, my tank need an angelfish! Also i need to consider getting a hawaii endemic fish. Cannot take risk, better get now or never!
  11. Nope the lotilia is sold to marinebetta who has a nano tank to take better care of the fish. It's in good hands now. The fishes in the tank are my pride and precious. The corals are secondary. My updated stocklist if anyone is interested: Thiellei clownfish Latezonatus clownfish full bar CB Helfrichi goby Ventralis anthias x 2 Pseudochromis tapeinosoma Pseudoplesiops rosae Johnsoni wrasse Pair Terelabrus Sp. (maldive) Bluestripe pipefish Full Moon Goby x 2 (v cryptic but they appear during feeding) Curious Wormfish (cannot see but it's hiding in the sand and is still alive)
  12. Next time i'll take a pic with the blue T5 on only.
  13. A few more pics... The equipments are v simple, only one tunze 6025 wavemaker, running on one RIO 17 HF main return, one tube aquazonic T5, and a 2nd hand Teco 1/8 chiller.
  14. Happy CNY. I took over LCF's old 3ft tank and two days back jux transferred everything from my 2.5ft to the new tank. Following is a FTS this morning: It's v orange becos the tank is only running on one tube of 24W white T5. Evening time will be switched to the tube of 24W blue T5.
  15. Assessor Randalli for sale in Japan at S$30 ONLY!! It is a rare assessor and not to be confused with the common assessor macneilli. This is the A.Randalli for sale(note the yellow spots): And this is the common A.Macnelli(aka blue assessor) tat we always get:
  16. Wild caught bicinctus clownfish is still rare and hard to come by in red sea shipment. Wild caught ones are nicer compared to CB ones
  17. Pomacentrus cheraphilus, new damsel species from philipines and brunei. Next time i go LFS i'll know this fish and can avoid buying it, there are nicer pomacentrus out there!
  18. Gorgeous rusty flame from a Thai LFS display tank (thanks to lemon from requesting a pic from his thai friend and sharing w us)
  19. This month's BH calendar photo features a fish so rare that i've gave up waiting for it...
  20. Some amazing fishes from RC: BradleyJ's Kuiter's pair.(We cant even get one and he's keeping a pair!) Huskerreef's Lunatus x pintail fairy wrasse hybrid. (We can get neither lunatus nor pintail and he's telling me he has a hybrid of both!)
  21. With minimal scaping u hav more swimming space for the fishes. But i still feel four 6025 pumps too many for your tank and not v healthy for the corals and fishes. I mean there is no SPS in your tank and LPS like prata and open brains dislike strong flow. Also your group of leptacanthus also prefer mild flow. I feel two 6025 is enough.
  22. After getting the CB Latz, i think it is a matter of time we get CB Mcc! It'll be fantastic if these CB Mccs can adapt to higher reef temp like the Latz. LA breeding pair of Mccullochi clowns.
  23. Goldflake all taken. No more declives butterfly and no more hybrid lemonpeel as well.
