  1. Rare blenny introduction: Lucayablennius zingaro (arrow blenny) from the carribbean.
  2. V rare Tonozukai dottyback in a japan LFS from a philippines shipment.
  3. Although sailfin jawfish is rare, one LFS in Japan brought in quite a lot of them, there are more which are in betta boxes and i wont post the pics. No wonder other parts of the world are not getting this fish!
  4. cant get enough of the sailfin Jawfish! Here is an interesting aberrant yellowhead jawfish. And another rare jawfish from carribbean shipment: Lonchopisthus micrognathus (commonly known as swordtail jawfish)
  5. Since we r on the topic of blenny. This is E.Tigris, a rare blenny from aussie shipment. This is E.Pictus. Can be found in philippines and indo shipment, but is rare and i've not seen it yet.
  6. Sadly there are not many rare blenny u can find in our market. Common ones: Ecsenius stigmatura, E.midas, E.bicolor. Less common ones: E.bimaculatus, E. nalolo/yaeyamaensis. The non ecsenius species that we can find now includes: malacoctenus triangulatus and enchelyurus flavipes at CF and numerous salarias species found at ML and other LFS.
  7. Lemon your tank is a show of how success in reef keeping can be achieved with careful research, planning and patience. SPS are not colorful but never mind as it has v good growth. The mix of SPS with softies and LPS makes the tank more diverse and natural looking tat's wat i like better compared to those colorful SPS dominated tank. The scaping is v intelligent and shows your good foresight! Scaping a square tank nicely is not easy and yours will be a good example for anyone who intends to keep a square tank in future. However there is one thing lacking if u ask me, something special is lacking in the fish list. Well i'm biased towards fishes so am always looking out for a striking fish whenever i view a tank vid.
  8. I'm speechless!! The whole rock structure and coral growth are so nice. Good mix of softies, LPS and SPS. Great job.
  9. Rare blenny. Hawaii endemic Cirripectes vanderbilti at PIA for USD50 each. Here's shows a fish in the wild and u can see the "scar" face when it settles:
  10. V dense growth now! Wat i like most about your tank is the scaping. No matter how much the SPS has grown the tank still maintain this v spacious feel. Excellent for free swimming fishes like your anthias, wrasses, chromis, butterfly, angels etc etc. A video update will be even more awesome.
  11. The probability of that happening is zero. Because exuma goby is v rare and hard to find in the wild. Also unlike neon goby which rest on corals does not occur in big schools, exuma goby is a hovering type goby in schools so it is not easy to be confused. Furthermore the atlantic collectors know their stuff and they know and ID their fishes well unlike like our philippines and bali collectors.
  12. I'll definitely seek your help again when i plan my trip for BH Japan. Thanks.
  13. Yes if Mr koji wada was at the shop that day he would definitely show u his office and allow u to take tonnes of photos as i heard he is a v friendly person with a huge passion for rare and exotic fishes. His private collection is the rarest in the world. The juvenile basabei butterfly, lanceolatus fairy wrasse, rubrolineatus anthias, tosanoides anthias, plectranthias pelicieri, etc etc were all in his private office tanks.
  14. Their interruptus angel is not for sale right? Is Blueharbor near the airport? Cos i'm wondering is it easy to pack and bring fishes back to singapore.
  15. On their website they qouted 80,000 yen for each clown. So the actual price in the shop is cheaper. thanks for sharing the pix and info. I'll visit BH hopefully end of year and hope by then there will still be some mccullochi clowns left for me.
  16. There r more fishes tat are for sale that u missed. Like the candy basslet, lipogramma klayi, juvenile aya butterfly, plectranthias winniensis, moustache jawfish etc. I guess they are less showy compared to the fishes u've taken photograph of that's why they did not capture your attention.
  17. Were the fishes in the exclusive FOWLR tank for sale too? From what i know the guyanensis butterfly is not for sale.
  18. Yes visiting Japan is not cheap. And if i wanna bring something back from BH it'll be even more expensive!
  19. V soon, one day i'll also visit BH and hopefully bring something back from the shop.
  20. Earlei fairy at LADD for USD1500. Sadly not an alpha male as for that price is only worth an alpha male i felt.
  21. Smaller than 1". Should be about 2cm length from tip of head to tip of tail. Go and see to believe. It was so small that aunty could not find it when she's scouring through the sand and tonga branches. She has to search a 3rd time then only the fish swim out.
  22. Open it in paint and rotate and save. Side way photos v hard to see. I've done it for u:
