Wow these rare angels are from HK reefers' tank? -
They barely grow an inch in captivity i'm sure. No need to worry on the max size. Many fishes kept in out tank will not reach the adult size in the wild.

Chingchai's razor wrasses are x2 Xyrichtys novacula and x1 Novaculops halsteadi. Lemon your razor wrasse is Xyrichtys Pentadactylus.

I absolutely agree the traceyi is gorgeous. No other damsels spot this kind of coloration. It is easy and peaceful and stays small. Perfect damsel to keep!
-
If i were u i'll go for chromis acares because it is the smallest chromis u can find (which dun change color) and is one of the least aggressive and not to mention rare. On the other hand chromis ovalis and limbaughi both grow big, changes color and become ugly.

OMG!! This is perhaps the most amazing youtube video posted on marine fish! That setup is a deepwater setup dedicated solely to the peppermint and it ought to be given the holy grail status of the fish!! I'll not be vying for the groucho although it is rare and beautiful. My tank is too small for so many angels. Groucho is rare even in vanuatu shipment, so probably have to wait for a few shipments before one turns up again (it already came in before through iwarna's vanuatu). CF do not reserve fishes for anyone unless u r reserving many many fishes at one go. The price is quite good though, 700 before discount, so no surprise it'll be taken pretty quickly. The only reason it will be there until your return would be its huge size, about 6". vanuatu coral beauty often comes in different deepwater forms. They are quite common in the shipment. So keep a lookout next time if u like this kind of coral beauty. However do take note that the color and pattern will slowly morph back to normal. Armitagei is rare. Not v rare but still rare. And they are expensive(~$1500), in Japan and US they fetch big bucks because reefers pay a lot for rare hybrids like armitagei. They are rare here becos not many reefers here is willing to pay so much for a "dirty" flagfin angel. So the one at CF is considered v good price! -

For those who dunno, this is the chaetodontoplus poliourus angel: It is an ideal "big" angel for a small tank like mine as it stays small, and really small maximum size 3" only. Furthermore unlike the shy and difficult singapore angel, the poliourus angel is bold and easy. This specimen i got is already feeding on pellets aggressively. The fish measures slightly over 2". -

I cannot and dun have the time to keep another bigger tank, else i would have wanted the rainfordia!! It is one of the most unique fish imo. Maybe in the near future i'll have another bigger setup. A small tank is ideal for me now, easy maintenance. Yes the poliorus is only different from the singpore angel by having a opaque grey tail instead of yellow. There are some other minute differences but the tail is the most obvious difference. I'll make an update of the fish soon once it gets established into my tank. -

This kind of fish v few pple will be interested. I'm one of them but it is too big for my tank. It is v expensive and is exotic. Not many know about the fish and as such they can't justify paying so much for the fish. Local reefers cannot yet compare ourselves to japan and US counterparts when it comes to rare and expensive fishes. They have been in the hobby longer than us and are more knowledgeable and has a stronger passion for fishes, so understandably many of the rarest stuff goes to them first. That is why i continue to post updates of rare and interesting fishes here hoping one day these fishes will receive as much attention as rare and exotics corals. -

groucho can be found anywhere as long as there are lemonpeel hybrids. But only vanuatu shipment seems to be able to catch and export groucho form of lemonpeel hybrid with any regularity. In fact i've not heard or seen of any groucho lemonpeel hybrid coming out of x-mas, marshall, hawaii or even tonga shipment in which lemonpeel hybrids are v common in the stocklist. -

Groucho angels are rare and they are only shipped out of vanuatu. So unless any LFS here starts to bring in vanuatu again, we'll never see any groucho angels again! -

Confirm different species! The one from iwarna is white with a bit of yellow. The one u see tmr will be a bright green colour with a pinkish red crosshatch belly patch! They are v different, u see u will know.

The razor wrasse should still be waiting for u. Not v beautiful but well any razor wrasse is rare and best they are not ex, so go and see if u like it.
-
So nice! There are more layers now. More hiding places and shelter for the fishes. Pink Birdnest is one of my favourite SPS. Also i love the pallidus wrasse and semi angel. Two of the rarest fishes in your tank. V hard to find and keep healthy.

In SA it is not illegal to catch fishes in their local waters but is illegal to ship the fishes caught out of the country. So the 3 kingi's that are sent to taiwan (that's if this news is really true) is most likely done through an illegal shipment. Awaiting the RC member to post more info. I'll be most interested to find out which wholesaler in taiwan is managing the three kingi's.
