  1. Haha i failed. The africanus attack the venustus again. Only manage to catch out the venustus first. Curently a bit lazy to catch the africanus but i'll do it in 2 or 3 days time. I'm contemplating now to sell off both the africanus and venustus since they cant co-exist and i like both of them. Info for venustus: Got from AM JK at $50 (Yes u mux be thinking i've been chopped carrot, other places selling much better price, but i still got the fish becos i finally found a good size, slightly over 2 inches which has a better survival rate). Has undergone a strict QT with melafix of more than three weeks to recover from a body infection. Now healthy and feeding on mysis. I'll try to take a pic soon. Interested party can pm or sms me. My selling price is $45.
  2. Good news! Jux now when i was feeding the africanus thru the betta box, the slide loose hold and fall off. The fish took the chance and escaped back into the tank. After an hour, it did not harass the venustus and neither did the venustus seems afraid of her and now they each hold their own corners and swim pass each other peacefully. Since there is no interested party also, i'll temporary call off the sale until i notice any aggression again. Orsony, maybe u can try trap your king for a day or two den release it again, maybe like my case it'll stop bullying your africanus. Thanx for those who up my sale and i was surprised the africanus sale received such poor response. Thought the fish was nice and quite rare as well. Sad, but anyway i like her and now can continue to keep her.
  3. Chanced upon a Japan Website that posted the price of rare fish they've sold before. I've converted the price to S$ and attached a pic. The list ends off with Gem Tang being the cheapest fish. The rest of the list went on with prices below $5000 and they are fishes like hotumatua angel, cook island helfrichi, conspic, carmabi etc but i'll not list them. Tell me if u'll buy any of them! I personally will only considering buying the Spanish Flag, because first 4 can't afford and the rest are simply so overpriced that again explain why all these fishes go to Japan. 1. C.Boylei - $35500 2. C.Nahackyi - $21500 3. G.Personatus - $17000 4. G.Semicinctus - $14300 5. H.Clarionensis Juv. - $8500 6. H.Fuscipinnis Juv. - $7000 7. C.Flavocoronatus - $6500 8. Wild C.Resplendens - $5700 9. G.Polleni aka Spanish Flag - $5600 10. Z.Gemmatum - $5000
  4. Do a search on Iwarna thread u'll find the price. The price of the yellow fish or the red fish cannot compare to the clarion. But i know in Japan or the states, they are selling at a price comparable to the clarion's. So considering the price i got it, it's a steal. Contact Iwarna/LCK if u want the fish, although it's v rare, but i'm sure they'll be able to bring in again if u can wait. Back to my sale. Think i'll open to negotiations for the price. So anyone interested in a small africanus can PM me your price. I'll release it back to the tank end of this week to test if it still attack the venustus, if there's no suitable buyer. Thank u.
  5. Back to my sale.. Taken a few more pics this morning, africanus in betta box: I'm trying to sell because of the same reason as orsony, it is harassing my venustus, so i choose over venustus. It's a v nice fish though, how i wish they can co-exist.
  6. Thanks. They are doing v well, feeding aggressively. I've to now switch to market prawns to fulfill their growing appetite..
  7. Hi, One small Africanus Angel, measure 2.5~3 inches. Very active and healthy. No white spot and no torn fin. Diet: flakes and mysis (Everything i throw into tank) Bought from LCK two months ago, at $180. My selling price: $180 (non-negotiable) Collection at Woodlands, FCFS. Any queries pls PM or SMS at 96951347. Thank You.
  8. Agreed. I need 1.009 when i do hypo to kill itch.
  9. Can keep different species of shrimps will also spice up your nano tank. Many gobies, like nano gobies and firefish are also good choice.
  10. U can try this link, i find it quite useful. Fish Vet
  11. The link of the technology: Oxygen Nanobubble Water Patent Application
  12. Interesting Technology. I've seen it on display at IMM a few years back and cant remember the technology they used, some crystal water filtration bla bla bla... Next time i can keep arowana and angels together in the same tank!
  13. hybrid and aberrant lemonpeel round-up. One of it quite interesting, looks like it has some disease markings..
  14. Maybe his fish no need to feed one. For example can photosynthesize, or has zooxanthellae like corals..
  15. HK has all the big angels hybrids. Here is a chrysurus x semicirculatus from eddie's blog taken in HK:
  16. Dream!! Chaetodontoplus Ballinae! (Blue Reef Photography)
  17. Found the name, It's Tuxedo Damselfish (Chrysiptera tricincta). Comes from the water of Fiji, also known as three banded damselfish. Would love to get this fish it it's available here.. Here is a link to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmwBaaMS8M4, look out for the tuxedo damsel. It's gorgeous.
  18. Haha yes i was browsing thru the photos v quickly to search for the tiny joc and giant conspic but ah they are not there! Who got them!? You got them?!
  19. A few more pics from RC.. I'm in love w this fish now, i always have a thing about prognathode species. So envious of Bigbird for his P.Marcellae!!!
  20. For me once=underfeed, twice=optimum, thrice=overfeed. But well again this is affected by the types of fishes we keep. Like if feeding anthias, even 5 times a day is not overfeeding, but for most other fishes once or twice a day will suffice depending on the amount.
  21. Low PH will cause color fade? or high PH? Thanx cos i din know ph is so important in holding color of the fish.
  22. If u are refering to catalina... I din get any and neither will i be getting any. The fish is beautiful, but your success rate of a year, though long enough considered it's a nano fish, still does not make me prepared to get them. Because everyday then i'll be counting the number of days left for the poor fish.
