  1. No choice, came back and realise fish died, so mux replace w other new fish.
  2. Not worthy?! These are two v underappreciated fishes. Hope they'll do well for me Yawn, before i sleep, here's another beautiful CB variant:
  3. Too yellow, a little more orangy will be nicer. Yet another beautiful colour variant of CB. Here's another pic of the blue tiger (Mauritian CB):
  4. It's the rare and deep true Bodianus Opercularis (also sometimes known as Bodianus Neoopercularis).
  5. V nice dark blue. Nicer than nox. This regal will fetch big money in HK. Nachacky & Abei are the superstars of waikiki. V messed up colours but quite nice. Yes, prob the rarest and most beautiful of the plectranthis family. Should not have caught the fish in the first place!
  6. Haha judging from the standard this year i kind of agree. Ok u'll see me in MSU 2011.
  7. Ya it actually looks more like aurora now and i think as it grow bigger even more lookalike, paler version of aurora. U like the lemonpeel hybrid? But it's not ugly leh! I find it quite bright and colourful.
  8. OMG, thank for posting the link. I din know the standard of our beauty pageants are like this now. Ok tmr i'll go for a sex change and next year i will join MSU.
  9. Er human fish hybrid??... Like a mermaid?? No w line nicer.. No line a bit dull. Apart from the fact tat they are naturally occuring, everything other aspects lose shine to the real picasso clowns.
  10. After keeping my L.Latifasciatum for many months i realise something weird! The fish has grown almost an inch in size and wat's most interesting is it has lose almost 99% of its black stripe. Now it's no longer fit to call it a latifasciatum (latin for long wide band)! The intial pic is not my fish but it's exactly how it looks like when i got it, the after pic is my fish now and can see the black stripe is almost gone leaving behind a pinkish yellow body.
  11. Two more pics of the new gramma from Reefbuilder, Gramma Dejongi.
  12. The 3 C's again. This adult clarion is a stunning orange! The dusky blue of the clipperton with it's white tail is mesmerizing. Finally the ever beautiful conspic in a nice softies tank which i aim to create, simply love the concept of softies w big angels and butterflies. They're are nice as individual, but if all three in one tank i think it'll be crowded and ugly.
  13. More pics of the pair of "washed-out" bandits. P.S. This beautiful and simple soft coral tank is something i wish to replicate in the near future!
  14. Xanthichthys sp. “dorsopunctatus” at twice the price of a crosshatch but only half as beautiful as a male crosshatch!
  15. Tahiti deepwater Coral Beauty and Christmas Island Hybrid Lemonpeel
  16. Why? I personally prefer the second one. But u're spot on, the first one is more expensive.
  17. Which one will u pay more for, let's say one costs 200 and the other 300?
  18. One Randall anthias male and a few other female randallis(the orangy yellowish ones).
  19. Deepwater NPS tank has always been my dream, but it jux proves too hard to replicate and maintain for average hobbyists like me. Below are three more top-notch NPS tanks for those who've not seen them: Michael Lukaczyns Pieter Van Suijlekoms Mariusz
  20. The purple queens are so fat and gorgeous, makes the ventralis anthias looks so pale.
  21. Sad to learn tat the lightning breeding project wasnt gg on v successfully. At least the male is doing fine, guess it's jux a longer wait..
  22. Very very nice rockscape. I like your scaping a lot! The sunlight will be ample for almost all softies (easily leathers and fingers) and some LPS, there's no need for extra lightings. However if u can turn on 3 to 4 T5s for another 6-8 hrs u'll be open to a wide variety of LPS corals. Since u foresee yourself keeping LPS as well it'l be best u turn on the T5s for 6hrs so that there's less restrictions on the species u can keep when u're selecting your corals. Do also take note if there's enough flow in your tank (cos u seem to have only one wavemaker?) as good amount of flow is also very important in coral keeping.
  23. Smithi is possible if someone is willing to organise a collection trip, much like clipperton angelfish. If there's someone who's gonna do it, i can only think of cortez marine or dejong marine life. Anyway Dejong marinelife ever imported a chaetodon tricinctus early this year i think, it is one LFS which goes all out to acquire the rarest fish on Earth. Linki is ugly grey, deepwater and rare and will remain rare forever. The cuban gramma is beautiful but not rare, it's jux tat its habitat has no collection. But now tat it's discovered, it will soon be a marine staple when someone open up a collection point at cuban targetting this beautiful gramma.
