  1. Hi boss, my tank actually has been rather empty w only few fishes for quite sometime as i've long wanted to decom but a bit half-hearted becos of my love for the conspic thus keep on delaying until now. But now i've made up my mind, work are becoming more hectic, hence this final decision. I'll decom and go for a nano tank.
  2. Dear all, Finally decided to decom after i can sell this final fish: Fish: Conspic Angelfish Size: Slightly over 5 inches (Has grown a little from jux below 4inches) Diet: Nori seaweed, mysis, market prawn, flakes, small pellets. It loves nori seaweed and can eat two sheets of 5 by 5 cm every day. Condition: Kept for going 10 months. My favourite fish, not scaredy and it feeds from my hand. V healthy. Price: $1900 FCFS. For further enquiries pls pm or sms me at 96951347. Thank U for viewing. Attached is a video link of the fish before i tear down the tank. The fish still looks the same except for possibly a bit bigger.
  3. Is it effective? Now i'm battling ich and flukes and possible velvet brought by the crosshatch. Thinking of dosing copper again, if not add UV sterilizer. Sian ich is so unavoidable!
  4. Yes. Ya lor no latz so hav to settle for something else. The majories were jux added for mins when the photosare taken, tat's why look v stressed. Marjorie seems quite hardy, hope mine dun die. Now i've problem trying to get rid of the chabanaudi, nobody wants the fish, guess i'll donate to underwater world.
  5. No sudden interest and not as strong interest like fuel and joe. Lemon was there and he knows the reason i bought the fish. Further dun like clownfish to be alone so bought another one from LCK.
  6. Thank u, i feel humbled. I feel u and terryz are also well deserve for the award.
  7. I took a closer look there is indeed a spot separated from the headband, but not special enough to be mentioned i guess. Anyway I caught both triggers out, the male is not doing v well and the female's sore at the tail area has worsened. Hope they pull thru. Yes v nice. Like the bluespots so much!
  8. Hi izzat, I bought my Thiellei from CF, price wise i cant disclose for some reasons so dun bother to pm me. But wat i heard is market price for thiellei here is slightly higher than leucs and leucs is $450 each at CF. I'm not a clownfish expert so with the advice from Fuel i got a snowflake to pair up w the thiellei and the pair is now sitting in my sump. Attached are some pics of the thiellei, pardon the poor quality as my cam v lousy and clownfish move so much tat it's so hard to take clear pics.
  9. I think u can at most only get P.Octotaenia and C.cf.lanceolatus. C.Lunatus is too rare, while P.attenuatus too much competition from other countries. Nevertheless jia you, hope u can bring back some interesting finds from japan.
  10. I check already, nothing special, look exactly like those posted on the net so no point me taking pic and post. The fish is still sitting in my sump as my hungry chabanaudi may eat the fish. Tmr i've changed a bit of my schedule so hav time in the afternoon to go down LCK and collect the marjorie and get a snowflake partner for the thiellei. Also seen the pulsing umbellata on youtube, not bad, open quite big and reli pulse v fast. But still a bit ex for such a small colony. Anyway for those who dunno how a thiellei looks like:
  11. All the Genicanthus Species available in the hobby with more pics apart from tat lemon posted. See below. Those not available are Spinus(No collection in Pitcairn), Takeuchii(No scuba collection in Ogasawara) and Semicinctus(Protected habitat, Lord Howe). Personatus is available, jux v v deep at main island Hawaii. But there are at least three occurrences and more in Japan and many times are a pair caught and sent there. Hybrids among genicanthus do occur and there are a few pics of those hybrids already posted in this thread in the past, search them if u're interested.
  12. Ya i cant find it also, cant even find the one at CF, maybe next time go CF can check w auntie wat chromis is tat. Damn so common yet i cant id the fish. Believe it may some juvenile colours v different from adult on the net. Here's an interesting fish posted before: Serranus chionaraia aka snow basslet from caribbean shipment. Suprisingly cheap at about $250 to $300 given how rare this fish is. More info here .
  13. Hi, Rare fish: Belonoperca Chabanaudi Size: 3.5 inches Condition: Perfect health and finnage, but has not learn to take non-living food. Price: Bought from Ah Beng at $45. Selling at $40 to anyone tat appreciate this fish. More info: This fish is a predator by nature, so it can be kept with lionfish or other similar fishes which require live food feeding. U can refer here for more care info. Shown is a pic from the net which my fish look exactly the same: U can sms 96951347 or pm me for more enquiries. Thank U.
  14. Lemon, the flasher wrasse posted are awesome looking, but the problem is all the species look too similar to each other and hence they are not as popular compared to cirrhilabrus. The hybrids of angulatus are most beautiful and look a lot like bell's flasher, but again they all look so similar for average hobbyists differentiate from the normal angulatus. Elight line flasher and attenuatus flasher are on the other hand quite unique and easy to distinguish. Well if there's a chance i hope to get P.Attenuatus. Terryz, i hope to get a pair of majorie too, but too bad all are males this time. Let's hope next time there'll be a pair and the price will still be as good.
  15. Of course, pls take pics, esp of those v rare and expensive fishes tat we cant afford. I hope u can see those rare fishes in person like white tail mesoleucus angelfish, Rusty Flame hybrid angel, mauritius coral beauty, tiny sanguineus wrasse, illegally caught wild resplendents, lipogrammas, tonstrinum basslet and all the rare fairies etc, then come back and share w us. Mux have a fruitful trip, japan is the only place in the world where rare fish gathers!
  16. I think the only interesting butterfly u can catch for yourself there will be nippon. I remember seeing a post of some japanese netting juvenile nippons using hand nets by the shore.
  17. Realy, good to know it's so cheap. But think lunatus is v rare for them also so the chance of u finding one is quite slim. I think u need help from Dr.Tanaka if u reli wan to get hold of one. Buy a few more back if u can find them and sell them at the double the price to cover your trip expenses. I'll be one of your customer.
  18. Those are v old stocks, but i think the juvi sanguineus is still there and i remember the price is 298000 yen, u do the conversion. Two more fishes from japan waters which are v rare: C.Lanceolatus and C.Lunatus
  19. I dun think so, i think more than 90% of the fishes u like there cant afford ba. Esp when your taste for fishes are so high end! Lunatus is even rare for the japanese though it's from their local waters, think even if hav it'll be v expensive. Another fish from their own waters and quite highly priced. C.Chrysocephalus
  20. When u are there look out for the rarer cheaper fishes. And by tat i mean fishes that are not skyhigh price and v much available in japan but not so in sg. Some examples are: 1) L.Multilineatum 2) RedSea Xanthotis 3) Rusty Flame (if u can find one there pls buy it back! And if possible buy one for me too!) 4) Nippon butterfly 5) And of course wrought iron and interruptus!
  21. Ah Beng will occasionally carry the fishes u looking for. Not sure if u can place order w them. Anyway here's a beautiful armitage angel:
