  1. U mean in the wild yes. But i think in captivity even w jellyfish cannot survive, unless in big public aquarium.
  2. Wow din know got such interesting relationship. The man of war jellyfish can deliver a v nasty sting but yet does not sting the fish. Another video of the fish in captivity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KM78Txtu_FU&feature=channel
  3. Ya it's 99% similar to the yellowtail damsel (chrysiptera parasema) below: But one is a chromis and other a damsel. Also flavicauda chromis is big, at least 4 inches. So when it flashes its blue i can imagine how beautiful it'll be.
  4. Talking about flavicauda, there's another fish i want a lot, the flavicauda chromis. It's big and blue, suits the criteria of a v blue fish i want, and it's rare too. But dunno how to get, so rare and from Brazil shipment so even harder to find.
  5. If really got tat blue one den not bad, quite nice and it will be a less nonsense fish.
  6. And it's so interesting he want to keep all the 1 inch fishes tat will eventually grow into big fishes of 5 or 6 inches at least. Like the bluethroat and butterflies, even if u can find small ones they will grow big v soon. Furthermore v small ones are not easy to find cos your definition of small is really small, so isn;t that making things difficult for yourself and so contradicting? If u like small fishes so much why dun go into nano fishes instead, they are small and will stay small forever. Also your flavicauda angel is coming tmr, wat kind of excuses are u coming up with to not get the fish again?
  7. Cute? I wont use that word on this fish as the adult in the video is at least 6 to 7 inches big.
  8. There's a fish i like v much but dun hav the chance to keep. Equetus punctatus (Spotted Drum). It is a very unpopular fish from carribbean from the drumfish family. I've kept Equetus Lanceolatus before but v difficult to feed. Equetus punctatus on the other hand is easy to feed and reefsafe, but grow big, but i like bigfish so never mind.
  9. Absolutely agree on that of the red sea collectors. Where;s the bicinctus clownfish and Chaetodon mesoleucos as well? Two banded clownfish from the wild are v v nice, ORA are captive breeding them but CB ones are dirty coloured. I hope the bicinctus from redsea will appear again and i'll definitely get a pair!
  10. Ya, as rare as blackburnii. LA is so lucky to be able to acquire these two east african butterfly from their supplier. Our east africa supplier v useless, only got flameback and chrysurus. No other rarities, but even if hav zanzibar and blackburnii steven would have jux strike them off the stocklist.. West africa is worse, only africanus and on rare occassions marcellae and robustus butterfly. Rare ones like marleyi and hoefleri butterfly can only dream of seeing them.
  11. Yes. It's a waspfish. I posted the name, jux click on the pic and see the title.
  12. To me the zanzibar is also a butterfly i want to see. It looks like plebius butterfly without the blue, and it is an easy butterfly from africa. The misbar koran juvi and the tinker hybrid are also v unique and rare.
  13. Get two or three psy heads and hope one turn into male. Bartletts are so damn aggressive, but they are also one of the nicest. Good luck on catching the anthias, they are v hard to catch without tearing the tank down.
  14. The mcc, chrysocephalus angel and WI were the stars last year. But where are the other not so famous rares? Like modestus, blackburnii, zanzibar etc.
  15. And your blood red hawkfish (Cirrhitops fasciatus), though it's a small hawkfish, it's still a hawkfish and if u add it in, your parvulus will be gone in an even faster time.
  16. How's your female psychedelic wrasse, is it really eating pellets? It'll awesome if u can get a male and female:
  17. Hi cool guy, Yes u can, if u're prepared to take some risks. With bandits it depends a lot on luck. They can die of many reasons, internal parasite, shipping stress, decompression maladies and needling wounds, refusal to eat, high temperature etc. However these do not stop reefers to buy a bandit becos they are too beautiful fish. Most of the pple successful at keeping bandits have tried this fish more than once. The fish is costly, always between 600 to 900 depending on size, so if u're not prepared for an expensive fish like this to die on u, den dun try. Recently bandits has become a regular import here w RB, LCK, Iwarna, CF and Ah Beng all carrying bandits on and off when they hav hawaii shipments. Also the bandits collected are more and more healthy compared to last time mainly becos now most of them collected are smaller, the really big ones( nearing 6 inches) which almost always will die are less frequently being brought in. Hope this helps.
  18. Anyone saw the flame angels at LCK? In the whole batch there are two to three w quite special markings (as in v few black stripes) and one has black stripes extending only half the body width, something like shepardi.
  19. anyway at CF - very healthy pellet eating bandit. 3-4 inch (rare for bandit to eat pellets soon after arrival) - large goldflake angel. seriously large. (rare to see such a big goldflake, at 7 inches it mux be majestic) - a medium sized very rare Belonoperca chabanaudi, also known as the arrow head soapfish. (Hmm for those trying this fish do note it's v hard to wean off live food) - a very uncommonly imported Cirrhitops fasciatus hawkfish from Hawaii. Reserved but only for a few days. (v interesting and uncommon hawkfish from hawaii, nice and cheap also)
  20. Johnsoni Pair from RC. Sudden this fish is appearing everywhere, hope it'll not be like cebu rusty flame, appearing in every parts of the world except for singapore!
  21. The true octo is indeed v big and beautiful. Nice bartletts. Too many green corals. Lack varieties and colours. An LPS tank should be v colourful and that's something unique to LPS tank. There are a few reefers here w v colourful LPS tank and u should have seen their tank and know who they are. Maybe they can be an inspiration for your tank.
