  1. The St Pauls Rocks angels are refering to the queen angels. There are no passer angels at st pauls. So if u are refering to the st pauls queen angel den of course they are from st pauls rocks. Calico angels are not from st pauls rocks, but from mexico. But often they may be named st pauls angels becos they resemble the st pauls queen "Koi" colouration, but they are not from st pauls. There has not been collection at st pauls for years already. It is a place too remote in Brazil but is not prohibited. Hope in the near future there will be collection again,
  2. These are not from st paul's. They are called calico passer angelfish, which is often compared to the calico queen angelfish from st paul's but they are not from st paul's themselves. These calico passers are collected from Baja, Mexico, where hundreds of passer angels are harvested yearly. They command big bucks but sad to say the colour will slowly fade back to normal, so which is a waste of money. Anyway quite a nunmber has appeared in the trade, with most of them collected by Cortez Marine.
  3. No i never see before. But more like i never notice it cos not into box fish, they will nuke the tank.
  4. The next collection should be coming soon. We can expect some clarions at LCK next year.
  5. U dun find them special looking? I tot u'll like tricinctus cos i find their colouration pattern v simiar to one of your favourite butterfly, the mitratus butterfly. But anyway as i've said they are not special becos of their look but becos of their rarity and their near impossible of obtaining. Are these maroons? Quite cute.
  6. Where did u get the info that it is a difficult butterfly to keep? It was rarely kept if not was not kept before. There are v little info on the net, too little info. Even if books stated it feeds on corals in the wild, i guess it's difficult but not all impossible. Maybe as hard as C.Rainfordi. Anyway tricinctus is v rare becos like mccullochi clownfish, it comes from lord howe island. Another place where it's found the norfolk island has no collection. So any that has appeared in the trade people should be skeptical about it's legal collection method and source! Any illegal stuff is v ex and of course "special", like the recent case of the Takeuchii Angel!
  7. Priolepis hipoliti aka Rusty Goby After keeping the full moon goby in my nano tank, i've fall in love with the genus priolepis! So many species in the genus that we cannot get! Southern Florida
  8. One of the holy grail of chaetodon butterfly. Chaetodon Tricinctus!! This piece was brought into Europe by DejongMarine. Whoever bought it mux have paid at least two times the price of clarion!
  9. Acanthemblemaria chaplini aka Papillose Blenny from carribbean. Hope one day RB can bring in.
  10. Priolepis latifascima Something from Japan that we cant get:
  11. Priolepis cincta (Girdled Goby) Can we get this goby in singapore?
  12. Lythrypnus pulchellus aka Gorgeous Goby Like the catalina goby, it's a coolwater species not suitable for our reef tank, lifespan shortened in warmer temperature. Sad.
  13. Grade A picasso clownfish (ordinary pattern) A lot of the $130 clownfish in LCK blue tub now will develop into something like this:
  14. U can find out from Tanaka if he knows wat happen to the few kingiis that made it to Japan long time back. Cos he's the one who took the photos of the kingii at the LFS that time.
  15. Yes cannot export. From SA forum they mentioned before. Occasionally their collector will catch the kingi and jux left in their holding facilities to die! They are deep water and rare so fetch a higher price but their own local reefers dun wan to pay high price for their local fish. Outside SA everyone wants the fish but the LFS cant export the fish out! Also the locals know the fish does not decompress well and does not feed easily so all the more they will not buy kingi. In the end the poor kingi will slowly wither away in high temp and poor captive condition at the LFS. So after a while collector no longer dive deeper to collect the fish as LFS do not want to buy the fish. So sad, bandit and kingi are the same. However bandit is readily available for export hence look at the number of bandits caught and sold yearly. On the other hand kingi is as deep and as rare as bandit but becos it is not for export, it is not available to other parts of the world.
  16. He's South African, so there's actually nothing to be proud or surprising for him to be obtain this fish. He stay in south africa, the only place in the world to be able to collect kingi legally!
  17. It's jux too crazy. Yurid at RC has jux acquired his long awaited kingi angelfish!
  18. Saw one blotchy anthias at LCK on sunday, dunno if still there.
  19. Your picasso indeed v nice! Now i'm mad, I mux sell mine!
  20. Hope the person who bought the puffer is prepared to change to a big tank after a while.
